Year One is the latest movie starring Jack Black. It is basically the story of the world since the beginning of time through the eyes of two cavemen. It has some funny moments and I hate to say it because I'm a big Jack Black fan but in general the movie its just plain and simple. The story isn't that interesting and the plot is kinda flat. The cast is good Jack Black as always is hilarious, he is the best one in the movie, Michael Cera is simply awful, I don't know but this guy has no personali… Continue

Wow. Just...just wow. If you thought Rock Band gave you false hopes about being a guitar god, prepare to become a believer for the Church of Brütal Legend.
If you have talked to me about video games, you may know I ADORE Tim Schafer. Working under Lucasarts to create some of the most memorable games in gaming history (Grim Fandango, The Secret of Monkey Is… Continue
Tim Schaefer. What do you think about when you hear this name? The creator of games like Grim Fandango and Psychonauts? That chubby dude with a beard? Nothing? Well, Tim Schaefer has a new title. The creator of Brutal Legend, one of the best games I've played this year.
The Good: The story is a big focus of this game (as is in any other Schaefer game), and it's great. A lot of reviews have been saying that the humor peters out near the end, but I think the final confrontation had some of the fu… Continue

If Jack Black and Micheal Cera were my ancestors, I would probably be insane.
Banished from their primitive village after the tribe elders deem them too lazy, Zed (Jack Black) and Oh (Michael Cera) leave everything they've ever known behind and embark upon an adventure-filled journey through the ancient world.
This is pretty much a remake of History of The World: Part 1, where at least that m… Continue
Depp will probably step into the shoes of Captain Jack Sparrow again, but this might be his last run.
Just recently, there have been numerous reports of Johnny Depp becoming less enthus… Continue

DECAPITATIONNNNN!!!!
This is one of the many hilariously memorable lines uttered in Tim Schaefers "Brutal Legend". This game hellishly funny, with Jack Black delivering the best performance I've ever... heard him in. The game's script is sharp as nails, with the beginning cut-scene making fun of the new age "Metal" bands with the pansy-ass singers and DJ's and all that stupid shit. (SPOILER: They all die in the first cutscene. Made my day) The gameplay is pretty cool, although lacking a jump bu… Continue

I don't normally write reviews, so I can't exactly say i'm deviating from the usual formula, but with a film so seemingly geared towards a particular audience like this, you can't give a straight forward, "regular" review that will satisfy everyone.
So I will split it up into sections based on the "types" of people who will see this movie. These will be based off common sense, and my friends who came with me to see the movie.
But first some small facts to clarify, yes, this i… Continue
Mars Attacks! Review
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 46%
My rating: Rental
Whenever I am asked what my guilty pleasure is, apart from a strange liking of folk guitar, this film always pops up. It is terrible. It took 100 million to put it out there and it made 101 million. It’s jaw droppingly bad. Yet for some reason this movie is something you can lie back, disconnect your jaw, and drib… Continue
Mid-life crisis' have never been so fun. I can't wait for mine, but instead of going to a ranch im going to Cancun and swim forever in the lake and maybe nobody will find me.
Three male friends, facing their 40th birthdays and experiencing midlife crises, decide they need time away from their "soft" city lives. They decide to vacation at a dude ranch, where they will be responsible for a… Continue

Reading a book and then seeing the film can actually can kinda ruin a film for you. You know whats gonna happen and you don't really have much of a on the edge on your seat feeling of what's gonna happen next.
The plot of High Fidelity centers on Rob Gordon (John Cusack), a self-confessed audiophile whose flair for understanding women is less than par for the course. After getting dumpe… Continue

CORRECTION: Harold Ramis didn't direct 'Evolution' it was Ivan Reitman. Which, although I didn't love 'Evolution' I would never insult the film by associating it in any way with 'Year One'.
When I saw the trailer for year one, I was probably like the rest of you, rolling my eyes seeing that Jack Black would play Jack Black and Michael Cera be Michael Cera. But I remember that one of the big taglines of the movie was: "The Very First Road Trip." (Other Taglines include: Meet Your Ancestors and Evolution Begins)
Now correct me if I am wrong, but didn't we… Continue

I’m a huge 24 fan, but after watching the last four seasons of show, it’s obvious that it is steadily falling in quality. I thought that season 4 was near perfect for the show’s formula, mixing red herrings, characte… Continue
Okay i am going to be honest, I am not a "big" fan of the cliche of tv shows throwing twelve different plot twists at the viewers. I might be able to overlook that if the way that the show does it is right. Now with the current series of twists with the seventh season of 24, they have jumped from a dictator type from Sangala, to Jon Voight wanting to bomb America. I went in the current season expecting this, so when it happened I was able to follow, and I got to say that I don't really mind it a… Continue
