Why the Iron Man movies are manlier than Nolan’s Batman films...

I'm not talking about which movies have better narratives, deeper characters, or more ingenious cinematography - I'm talking about which movie series makes you pump your fist in the air, down a beer, and make out with the woman closest to you. In this article, I will be proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Tony Stark is manlier than a guy who dresses up like a Bat (for no adequately explained reason) in his off-time.

Movies that changed America

So, if you ask a film student, or perhaps a great film journalist to name the films that have had the biggest impact on America, what would their answer be? I'm not talking about impact on American film, I'm looking closely at American culture and identity, which films have actually changed us as Americans? Film has been a large part of American culture for nearly 100 years now, and 100 years is nearly half of our 234-year development. I think it would be naive of anyone to say film has not…

Disappointments and Surprises of 2010

While 2010 was a year of ups and downs, I’ll go through some of the movies that I was looking forward to that let me down, and movies that I wasn’t so sure about that turned out to be great. Does this necessarily mean I hated the disappointments with the utmost passion and the surprises are my favorite movies of all time? Most certainly not, although that level of black in white would probably make it more entertaining. But here’s the list…

2010: A Year In Review Part 1

Last year, instead of doing the traditional "Top 10 of the Year" list, I talked a little bit about every movie that I saw that year in chronological release date order. Well, it's that time of the year again! Before we start, I'd like to mention that this is going by US limited or major releases, since some of these came out last year in foreign markets or…

Iron Man 2: It is totally worthy

Iron Man 2 left me a very pleasant taste. Maybe it doesn't have the same amount of action than the first one but it is compensated with better CGI, a better developed plot and a more interesting story. Billionaire Tony Stark must contend with deadly issues involving the government, his own friends, as well as new enemies due to…

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Gameplay featuring DEADPOOL!!!!

First, I'd like to say that today was generally a pretty good day for gamers if you've been following the E3 press conferences. And while there's more to share than I could possibly gather in one place, I feel it NECESSARY to post this:

So, let's review...

  • Devil May Cry's Dante in a fighting game (from the 3rd game, specifically)
  • Captain America's shield can hit you coming AND going
  • Deadpool IS Deadpool in this game in every…

Iron Man 2 Review

Alright, the opening summer flick known as "Iron Man 2". Now, I absolutely love the first movie and there's been a lot of hype for this one, so is it worth the wait? Read on to find out. The synopsis might be long but read it and you'll get a clear idea of the story, I promise it won't spoil anything.

It has been six months since Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) has revealed his secret identity to the world which is a first for…
