Brad Pitt sure has come a long way since his breakthrough role in Thelma & Louise! He's had to overcome the prejudices set against him and prove his real worth as an actor just because he was the "prettiest boy" in town and by doing so, he's managed to solidify himself as one of Hollywood's most iconic film actors in its history. While he's captured the eyes and hearts of women worldwide with his roles in Interview with the Vampire, Legends of the Fall,…

Oh, hey there. Didn't see you walk in. I did a coin toss to see what this article would be about: Violence in video games, or my top 10 favorite first-person shooter games. I got tails. Damn it. I really wanted to talk about Republic Commando.
Video games these days are the trendy punching bag for political pundits, overzealous news anchors, and people who have, in all honesty, never…

As the year comes to a close, it’s time once again to look back on the year in film. There was a slew of great films to be seen, and ‘09 was a year dominated by sci-fi and animation. So without further ado, here are my favorite films from 2009.

10.)
Avatar- Master director James Cameron's 3D sci-fi epic is engaging, gorgeous, and sets a new standard for visual effects and what can be done with animation. The Na’vi creatures…

I will start this review with the admission that I do not like Quentin Tarantino movies. I despised “Pulp Fiction,” scoffed my way through “Death Proof,” and couldn’t finish “Kill Bill.” So, I went into “Inglourious Basterds” with a bit of bias. However, I could not help but think that “Inglourious Basterds” is not a story, it’s a series of self-loving, smug, logic-less scenes sewn together through unclear character goals and a militant group (the one the film’s named after) who are…

Quentin Tarantino's war epic and the big finale to summer 2009. Being a big Quentin fan (I've either really liked or loved all his films except
Death Proof, which felt mediocre), I was excited to see this. What did I think? Well let me tell you ... right after this plot synposis.
Being a…

Just getting back from the screening from work. I have to say that I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. Every actor gave a good performance, including the German bad guy. Brad Pitt had some hilarious lines and Eli Roth exceeded expectations and ended up giving a solid performance.
The movie was beautifully shot and well directed. This is no surprise coming from Quentin Tarantino, the creater of such films as the Kill Bills and Pulp Fiction. The action scenes, while not that many…

Over 10 years ago, Quentin Tarantino began work on a titleless script about WW2. He proclaimed that this was the best script he'd ever written, as you'd imagine, his fans were in awe. And one year ago, he finished the script writing the ovies title in pen on the front page. 'Inglourious Basterds,' spelled wrong for an unknown reason (which I have my thoughts on). Shooting began almost momentarily in order to get the film done in time for Cannes. And now here we are, Cannes is only a memory and…

At long last, Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds is finally hitting the silver screen. For years, I have been a huge fan of the writer/director/movie geek. Not just because he writes and directs movies that are so incredibly cool that define "badass", but the guy is someone I can relate to with his extreme enthusiasm for movies.…
