How To Solve The Justice League's Green Lantern Problem

With the news that the upcoming Man of Steel will be the jump off point for DC to develop a Justice League movie I only had one question, how are they going to make Green Lantern work for it.  It’s no secret that Green Lantern was a mediocre middle of the road movie that should have been Training Day in space rather than the blatant product placement Masters of the Universe-esque snooze-fest that it was. In comparison…

The Top Ten Films of 2012 or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Korean Porn

Being as this is my first blog post, I thought I would start with my top ten films of last year. If you disagree with my choices, go hang yourself in the Disney Vault with the unsold copies of Songs of the South. That was harsh, I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you by giving you my top ten films of 2012 in no…

Oldboy video review

I just made a youtube video. I'm going to post the link right on the fridge so everybody can see it. Please give me your honest feedback. Constructive criticism is desired. One quick note though: this is my first time editing and scripting review plus it was all done on an iPad so don't expect spill.com or Doug Walker quality. Thank you :)

Monumental 'Justice League' Rumors

Rumors are everywhere these days, and we always take them with a grain of salt, but if even one of today's batch of 'Justice League' rumors is true, a new era may be dawning at Warner Brothers. According to Latino Review,…

"Gangster Squad" review...

After watching Gangster Squad, I raced back home to write my review.  Not that it’s so bad that I need to release a public warning, but because it’s so brilliant I feel compelled to tell every man and woman I can find to watch this film with the promise of enjoying one of the best guilty pleasure movies in a long while.

The Sick House (2008) Review

Rating-(Low)Rental   Say what you want about the British but they have made a lot of good movies, The Sick house is not one of those good movies. Containing an utter throwaway plot with a shit script mixed with poor dialogue, the only good thing I have to say about this flick is that it is visually gorgeous. Is a films' visuals good enough to save it if everything else is so bad:…

Zero Dark Thirty Review

It took ten years and two wars to find the most wanted man in contemporary American history: Osama bin Laden, the fanatical man who was responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians around the world. Whether the events in this film portray the facts or are merely a variation of what really…

Gangster Squad Review

When someone says that there is a new crime film set in the '40s and '50s and it has people like Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Nick Nolte and plenty of other fantastic actors and actresses, you would expect it to either be Oscar caliber material or at the very least a very excellent crime drama…

Best of 2012 in film #5-1

Cloud Atlas, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Brave. What do these 3 films all have in common, they are on my list of the  top ten best film's of 2012.

Like I said on of my worst of, 2012 has been a pretty good year in film. My opinion of course. But this time I'm talking about the good stuff.

I'm doing this list before I see Les Miserable. Also haven't seen Zero Dark Thirty & The…

Skyfall (2012) Review

Rating-Better Than Sex!!!

Right from it's thunderous opening and its majestic title sequence (Preformed wonderfully by Adele), I could tell that this was an evolved James Bond, I was in for a treat of a film that could be an easy contender for best film of the year, for me at least.…

A Shot in the Dark - A Short Film

Hey all. I just recently watched ''The Artist''. Quick thoughts on the movie: I enjoyed it for the 1 hour and 40 mins I watched it. It took a little getting adjusted to ( since it's entirely a silent film) but after like 20 mins I forgot that I was even watching a film without dialogue. However, it's definitely a ''one time sit thru'' kind of deal. Unless you are studying film at school or something, then watch the living fuck out of it, because it is really more of a ''critics movie'' then…

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Review

Many people feared that this movie would be the equivalent of The Phantom Menace but for the younger generation of fans who grew up with The Lord of the Rings as their epic saga of nostalgia. Silver Linings Playbook Review

It looks as if Robert De Niro has found his new muse. If De Niro sticks with Bradley Cooper for anything he does from now on, he just might return to the greatness of what made him great in his later years. Not to say that he hasn't shown it before since Limitless was an excellent…
