What did I say about the first live-action Transformers film? It sucked. No matter how much I run into this film by accident, it is still a lame movie. But at least, it… Continue

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Megan Fox starred in the biggest movie of the summer, the Michael Bay-directed "Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen," but according to the actress, the director almost killed her and co-star Shia LaBeouf with his "Napoleon" and "Hitler" tendencies.
The box office bomb… Continue

Plot of the movie: The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible f… Continue
I think faithfulness is very important because im tired of hollywood screwing up comic book characters like venom, galactus, and deadpool just so they can say "oh hey we know we screwed up so lets make a spin off movie where we can get the characters right and milk more money from the fans". However if the director can make it work like with Iron Man or Watchmen or even The Dark Knight then i'll have no problem with it. Very rarely i will accept huge changes like transformers for example (which… Continue
*Whew!* Oh man, what an exhausting week, running around Comic-Con and now that we're finally back home...we're gonna be just as busy this week. Besides playing catchup on our regular schedule of movie reviews you can expect this week we'll be filling the blogs and podcasts with the details of what we did on the trip, what cool stuff we saw, what happened at the Spill party and what famous people we hung out with.
Take note: Even though we saw plenty of VERY famous people wa… Continue
So there it is. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been released and I’ve already given my general impression of the film in a mildly drunken way in the video review. I didn’t feel, however, that the time restrictions that YouTube strictly enforce coupled with the fact that we were filming in a hotel lobby allowed me the time necessary to fully explain just where I think this film went wrong.
I’m going to try and do this as detached, unemotionally and as neutral as possible but that will b… Continue

Yes, I realise how late it is to be posting this now, but I just realised I hadn't added it to my Spill blog so I thought I would. Expect the Written Accompaniment tomorrow.

Because I got a new job at a movie theater, I can go see a lot of movies for free. Unfortunately, I have to deal with my summer reading (which was suddenly assigned to me HALFWAY THROUGH SUMMER!!!!!!), so I don't have enough time to review the movies I see. So without further ado, I give you 4 quickie reviews. (Not that anyone really cares).
THE PROPOSAL
Very shallow and formulaic, but so very funny. What makes this work is the chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. They're… Continue

Ok I hate the live action ones because I compared them to the 1986 movie. And While I hate the 1st Bay movie... I gave it an average rating because I expected more from the film and it didn't deliver. But this one is FAR WORSE THAN THE 1ST!!!! I;'ll give you my rating right now 0.5/10... that's it... it doesn't even deserve one point. And trust me I've seen some bad movies. THIS WAS GOD AWFUL!!!! Here are my complaints... I'm more harsh on this one because they struck out once so Michael Bay sho… Continue

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is one og the biggest box office blockbusters of the summer. From the very beginning of the movie you are surround by big explosions, spectacular persecution and tons of special effects. The story doesn't contribute with many innovations, in fact I feel that it follows the same plot as the first one, The Auto-bots and the Decepticons in their eternal war and the humas in between with Sam Witwicky and his girlfriend Mikaela trying to save the world. Maybe the o… Continue

This summer has been full of highs and lows; the epitome of a mixed bag. Star Trek was a great movie, even for those that know next to nothing about the original mythology; I myself fall into that category. Drag Me to Hell brought Sam Raimi back to his roots in fine style; it was a great, fun, horror movie, easily the best in about 10 years. And to cap it all off, Pixar made their best movie yet with Up, a movie that would be a shoe in for best film at the Oscars if it weren… Continue

Disguise my ass, these Transformers couldn't hide if they where invisible. See what that is, that's a bad joke. This movie has way to many of them. That's a pretty bad start to this review, so I'm gonna start with the negative and end with positives. Okay, where to begin.... Well the so called comedy ( I use that term lo… Continue
The following comments show you the main core of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen:
Explosions and people running from said explosionsHot chicks preferably with nothing much onAnd of course, Robots!!!!!!!
Now, I wanted to see Transformers 2 because I liked the first one and thought it was an adequate summer blow-shit-up blockbuster. However, it did have some problems and some goofy moments but I enjoyed it. I saw Transformers 2 maybe a few days after the release and… Continue
Goosebumps traveled up and down my spine as I saw the meteors, the trademark objects that bring both Autobots and Deciepticons to Earth, rain down all over the world, destroying landmarks and aircraft carriers. In this case, the Decipticons have come to Earth, heralding the epynomous villain of this summer blockbuster...The Fallen.
Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen has seemed to have polarized film critics and the general movie public. For every Roger Ebert and Spill Crew putdown, ther… Continue
First: No, I hated this as much as the rest of you.
However, I never really watched the very original series, nor the G1 series, as I was born in '86, and I didn't develop the consciousness to analyze what I watched until I watched another Transformers series, the Canadian-made 'Beasties' that I took to the Transformers concept, and appreciated how the characters interacted, as well as being the second time I really saw the good guys get beaten (first time was Astro Boy). I couldn'… Continue

So Michael Bay got paid $75 million to do this sequel to his 2007 summer hit, Transformers. $75 million to produce a $200 million movie.
Holy shit that's a lot of money.
Of course, we as the audience get the Michael Bay bang for his buck with tons of robots, explosions, action, and Shia Lebouf running around screaming the word "NO!" as a Terminator-esque Decepticon chases him through… Continue

"Fate has yielded its reward: a new world to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain sight, but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting. I have witnessed their capacity for courage, and though we are worlds apart, like us, there's more to them than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here. We are waiting."
