The last month of the year has begun and already I see no other movie coming out this month that might take the place of my least favorite movie of 2009.
So without further delay my LEAST FAVORITE MOVIE OF 2009:

Couple of main reasons I have chosen this as my least favorite movie of 2009:
1.) The entire movie was shot with a handheld camcorder that…

Hey once again, this is Mr.Burn Notice bringing you an early review of the new animated movie from DC, Superman/Batman:Public Enemies. This movie is based on the graphic novel by the same title written by, everybody favorite writer, Jeph Loeb. Now before you get all down on this movie before we even start the review, the graphic novel isn't bad. But it isn't great either. It's really your opinion. But we aren't here to review the graphic novel, we are here to review...…

The Taking of Pelham 123
I’ll just say it: I am really not that bothered about remakes. Everyone keeps throwing this big hoop-la about how remakes “destroy” the original films and how it’s “the death of Hollywood”. Advice to the people who do…

Now I know that Public Enemies has been out for quite a while on your side of the globe, but here in Holland we just had the opening night yesterday(lame huh), and I thought I'd share some of my thoughts with you guys. Maybe not that interesting after all the Comic-Con madness, but hey maybe there are some other Dutchies here on the site who might like to hear about the movie.
What really struck me after watching the film is that while it's not really bad (most of it is technically pretty convi…

Public Enemies tells the story of the life of John Dillinger and his brief but well known fame as a bank robber. It is an almost 2 hour and a half movie but its length doesn't make it tiresome, in fact it is a very interesting drama full of action that will catch you from the very first minute and will keep you on the edge of your seat. the story is very interesting and the plot very well developed. The movie is perfectly set in the 1930's with an excellent costume design from that age. The cast…

Let me just get this out of the way as quickly as I can: I am not very big on historic events. I could very well be the least knowledgable person in the history of time in that particular area. However, I found myself to be mildly interested in
Public Enemies, the newest film by director Michael Mann. But with a running time of nearly two and a half hours, I found my mild interest to wane as it neared closer and closer toward the end.
Public Enemies is set in the year 1933, a time…

Been a while since I've posted any reviews, let alone any reviews that were actual films. Well, let me make it clear that the D-Man is back in business!
Anyway, for my glorious comeback into the world of movie reviews, I've chosen to review Public Enemies. The film is directed by Michael Mann, and stars Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. The film is about the criminal career of notorious bank robber and public enemy #1. John Dillinger (Depp) and the efforts of FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Bale) to bri…

It’s nice to have a breath of fresh air every once in a while. I know we’re in the Summer season but if I see one more explosion at this point, I’ll be tempted to show Hollywood’s special effects department what fire looks like up close. While a film like ‘Public Enem…

Having just returned from Public Enemies, the latest film starring Johhny Depp, here are my thoughts on the experience fresh from my head. Now, this film is a crime drama set in the early 1930s, during the height of the Great Depression. The story follows John Dillinger, a bank…

He robbed banks, he walked into police stations just for the hell of it, and he escaped prison like it was an everyday thing. John Dillinger was one of those guys. In an era where criminality was at an all time high, a man like Dillinger robbed banks with ease. But it wasn't just fo…

This is my public enemy.
This film just went so wrong, I was hoping greatness, but got so little.
So before I plage you with all the negatives, here are the positives.
The film has so many number of great prefomances that I can't go into detail, so I'll stick with Johnny Depp…
