Here's my reasons why the prequels dont suck (theyre not as good as the originals by any stretch of the imagination)
5) the action
yes, it doesn't matter that much if it shouldn't be the main draw of the film in the first place, but still, the action sequences were pretty great. technically, the movies are all wonderful
4) The villains
Now, I know these can't compete with Darth Vader, but in my mind, theyre fucking close. Darth Maul is so awesome and General Grievous....i just love him. so muc…

I saw the beginning of this film before I fell asleep at 3:30 am one Thursaday morning. For the next couple of days i couldn't stop thinking of this film (I passed out when Brandon discovered Emily's body at the tunnel...........oh SPOILER!). I couldn't stop thinking about her death…

Why Television-to-Movie Transitions (Usually) Don't Work. Now, I think that there's a "two and two" with this argument. Of course there have been adaptations (like: 'The Fugitive', 'Serenity', etc.) that have worked out well, but that's only because it's either set a few years away from the television show, it's slightly/completely different from the television show or they take all the correct turns.
The ones that are just straight-forward adaptations from the television show itself...…

Well it seems a fellow named Barack Obama was swarn in to something... I don't know what. I think he is some sort of deity to the country (according to this picture).

2008 was probably one of the best years of movies during my lifetime. We witnessed the rise of the superhero, the continuing success of Apatow & the return of such titans as Rourke, Jones and Downey Jr. This lead me to realize that, while making my worst of the year list, that not all of them were that bad to me. Mind you, I haven't seen what I've heard are the shittiest (
Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, Mummy 3, 10,000 BC, Love Guru, etc.). Thus, the lower half of the list m…

Almost 14,000 of us are here at Spill.com. Why? Because we LOVE movies. We don't just like them, we love them. We're not the average audience that goes out to watch a flick on a Friday night. We cause the hype, we talk about movies, review them, and we constantly look for any movie-related news to get us through the day. I don't know what the ideal job would be for you, but wouldn't you love to be a film critic?
The thought of just writing your own reviews, or making video reviews like the Spil…

How many ways can I say brilliant? M. Knight does it again! After his smash hit with lady in the water I didn't think he could pull off another PERFECT film such as this one! This movie is about some sort of occurrence in which people stop dead in their tracks and start spouting beautifully artistic soliloquies before taking their own life, all against their own will. The film begins with one of these elegantly crafted sequences followed by a short educational scene, and then descends into extreme…

He is the poet laureate of rock 'n' roll. The voice of the promise of the 60's counterculture. The guy who forced folk into bed with rock. Who donned makeup in the 70's and disappeared into a haze of substance abuse. Who emerged to find Jesus. Who was written off as a has-been by the end of the 80's, and who suddenly shifted gears releasing some of the strongest music of his career beginning in the late 90's. He is Columbia recording artist Bob Dylan.
Dylan has starred in many motion pictures, t…

I dunno what to think right now about superheroes. I mean we knew where they stood about the turn of the century and it was and is an exciting time to be a comic book fan because all of these adaptations are jumping out, yet the suits seem to be trying to produce their own super-franchises as well.
When I was about 13 I read the Watchmen and I began writing my own fiction in that perception. Superman, Spider-man and others are what come to mind when some people thought of superheroes, but for m…
