Dear God, people are leaving this world! Just got the text from a friend that actress Brittany Murphy died today of a cardiac arrest. The cause of what sent her into cardiac arrest has yet to be determined. You may remember her as the lovable idiot in Clueless or as Eminem's girl in 8 Mile. My prayers are with her family.

I like zombie films. In fact, I love zombie films, in particular I love the classic ‘Dead’ trilogy that came from the awesome mind of the Deadfather, George A. Romero. Hell, I even like 'Land of the Dead'. It’s a fun entry into the series. Sure, it’s not up to the greatness of those first three but it’s enjoyable none the less and it really only missed one trick and that is that it should have had Bob Hoskins in it. Then it would have been an awesome 'Super Mario Bros' reunion. Who wouldn’t have… Continue

Don't be put off by the title; It's the best action movie of the year (despite miserly DVD features [best science fiction was District 9] ).
However, I'll add this caveat; just because you watched the best Trek movie in… Continue
For me personally Dead Rising came really close to being perfect, I'm serious. The game had so many things that were great, beautiful big open areas, lots of different weapons to kill zombies with and an interesting story that had me hooked till the end. However Dead Rising was not without its problems and with Dead Rising 2 on the horizon with a release date for sometime next year I thought I'd take the a trip back in time to 2006 and brush of the gem that is Dead Rising.… Continue

Hey guys! With the sequel to the halloween remake already out, I thought I'd chime in on my list of all-time best remakes!
Here ya go!
#5. The Departed (2006)
(REMAKE OF: Infernal Affairs)
While this may not be better than the Japanese Classic crime film, this is pretty damn close and it's a remake that doesn't lose it's flair as it goes on. While the plots maybe simliar, the execution to each fi… Continue

Eddie Murphy dead rumors are not about Eddie Murphy's career, at least not today. 'Eddie Murphy dead' is merely the latest celebrity death rumor to hit the Internet. Celebrity rag tabloids and pathetic excuses for journalists like to print rumors that aren't true, like the Eddie Murphy dead rumor. But Eddie Murphy dead stories are not true, as most everyone should expect.

The Sixth Sense Review
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 85%
My rating: Full Price!!
This is another M. Night Shyamalan film, and another film you have to be careful not to spoil, although the very action of reviewing this is fairly useless as you’ve either seen it or are about to come across it. For those who haven’t seen it, run out there and watch it before some dick spoils it for you.
So on to looking at this thing… Continue
Gidget, the famed Chihuahua who appeared in Taco Bell ads, died Tuesday at the age of 15.
Karen McElhatton, Gidget's owner, tells Usmagazine.com the dog was with her trainer, Sue Chipperton, watching television when she began making "strange noises" and suffered a stroke.
Before the dog's death, "She had a good day and was running around as normal," McElhatton tells Usmagazine.com. "We're happy that she was very well off right until the end."

With one of my favorite series getting a sequel soon, Toy Story 3, I have been thinking of movies that I would love to see made. Some of these movies are sequels, with the first not really lending to a sequel, but I would very much like to see more of the story developed. I tried to think of movies that aren't in development, or even talked about, but movies I would just personally like to see.
A couple of these films are sequels, while most of these films are based off other things.

As I was watching the t.v, getting my news for the day, all of a sudden I see that Ed McMahon died. I had no idea what to think of. For those who do not know who Ed McMahon was, he was the announcer for the Johnny Carson show with his famous line "Heeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrreeeeeee's Johnny!" All I need to say is rest in peace Ed McMahon.… Continue

A little late to be sure, but I figured there's no better time than now. E3 2009 unveiled A LOT of great games to us and quite a few great trailers. I myself am a huge fan of trailers for games and movies since I find it an art form unto itself. With the right trailer, you can either build up just the right hype to make people curious enough to want the product or completely cement the fact your product will be awesome. Some trailers don't always work (especially when they tell you too much abou… Continue

There’s no doubt that Robert Downey Jr has had a great couple of years. Between Iron Man and its upcoming sequel, Tropic Thunder, The Soloist and this week’s holiday release Sherlock Holmes, it’s safe to say he’s on a roll.
