As always, spoilers follow.
So this is it then. The big one. The winner of the best picture last year, Slumdog Millionaire. It’s a movie which has a hell of a lot packed into it over the course of two hours. There’s torture, romance, murder, poverty, gangsters, dancing and the quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? So did it deserve the awards, the hype, the praise? Let’s find out, won’t we?

Not a day goes by when a comedy show we're watching is most likely going to offend someone. Shows such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park, Family Guy (for all the wrong reasons), and etc. are examples- but none of these shows have the courage to do what Eastbound &…

I wasn't all that interested in seeing this until I saw episodes of the TV show. And I have to say, they look like crap. I wanted to see the movie because I liked the concept, and I didn't want to continue watching the show. Plus, I like Will Ferrell.
The movie starts strong with a hilarious bit between Will Ferrell and Matt Lauer, and from then on it was hit or miss. Ferrell and co-star Danny McBride's chemistry is dead-on hilarious. Most of the jokes in the movie won me over, but others miss…

Slumdog Millionaire tells the story f how impoverished Indian teen Jamal Malik became a contestant on the Hindi version of "Who Wants to be A Millionaire?" -- an endeavor made without prize money in mind, rather, an effort to prove his love for his friend Latika, who is an ardent fan of the show. A movie so raw and real, it shows us the difficult life of children in India and teaches us that no matter what you always must have faith on what you want in life and fight for it. The cast formed by n…

Will Ferrell stars as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall, sucked into one and spat back through time. Way back. Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world - a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the Land of the Lost.
Sucked alongside him for the adventure are crack-smart research assistant Holly (Anna Friel) and a redneck survivalist (Dan…

Blindness a movie based on Nobel prize winner novel Jose Saramago. The movie has a interesting story and a good plot about A doctor's wife becomes the only person with the ability to see in a town where everyone is struck with a mysterious case of sudden blindness. She feigns illness in order to take care of her husband as her surrounding community breaks down into chaos and disorder.
The movie has a slow rhythm but not for it its a tiresome movie, some parts of the film can be disgusting and ev…

Judd Apatow hit the jackpot with Pineapple Express. The latest movies he produced where funny but it seems that they were all the same but this one was completely different. It has lots of funny moments and situations, the jokes were great although they turn to be kinda repetitive as the movie moves along. It is full of action and adventure. The story is original, the plot is interesting and very well developed. Loved the soundtrack, the music was great. I has a very fast paced rhythm, a very go…

Thank you to Tessa for inspiring me to actually contribute to this site once more.
Ah, Danny Elfman. What can you say about this dude? "Tim Burton" comes readily to mind. Elfman is most famous for his collaborations with Burton, and for a good reason. A lot of this list is going to pull from the Burton/Elfman movies, mostly because he did some of his best work there.

It wasn't quite the
"Thriller in Manila" but it was reported on September 11, 2008 that at the Toronto Film Festival in a screening for the movie
"Slumdog Millionaire", a man in the audience started yelling,
"Don't touch me!" twice, then a few minutes later the guy stood up in the darkness and hit the guy behind him with a big festival binder. He hit him so hard everybody could hear it. Everyone freaked out and turned around to find the victim was Chicago Sun-Times fi…

First of all – In my opinion Danny De Vito and Tim Burton already create a brilliant movie portrait of the character. It was different from the book… Well, actually they improve him in many ways.
Lets face it. Yes, the comic book version of the Penguin is a Ok villain, but dose he rely live-up to such Batman villains as Two-Face or the Joker? He’s just like another mobster, except he have a goofy nose, uses a trick umbrella and some times show a large interest in birds. That’s all.
As I told abo…
