Every once in awhile a film comes along that changes the rules of the game. More often than not, said film is either panned at first (
Blade Runner) is met with controversy and moral outrage (…

G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra, its directed by Stephen Sommers best known for The first two Mummy films and Van Helsing, the trailer looks good, but I don't like the main
character Channing Tatum, I don't not like the guy, he can't act, but It might suprise me, the director can direct action scenes, so lets see how it turns out.

ThaShining is an avid film watcher. ThaShining likes films!
ThaShining is a man who loves a good story, great characters, and great dialogue.
I also like long walks on the beach, a good conversation, and a nice meal but that's a different subject all together.
So being a fan of Film (I love you so much FIlm!), I thought it would be nice to share a list of "non-blockbuster" titles that just might be winners this year!
The first film we have is

I gotta admit it. I love big dumb action movies. All the way from the graceful death ballet of Hard Boiled to the gritty one line spitting Die Hard, I love to turn my brain off and just enjoy gratuitous violence from time to time. So obviously, I'm a huge fan of the first Crank. Plot wise, it was genius - An assassin called Chev Chellios, played by Jason Statham gets poisoned in his sleep, he has a limited amount of time to live, and he sets out for revenge. And the only thing that'll keep him a…

I have to say that when I first Crank I wasn't impressed, I thought it was an enjoyable, forgettable, extremely over the top action movie. It wasn't till I watched it again did I truly fall in love with it, and I had one of the best time I've had watching a movie, and I showed…

I viewed Jason Staatham's latest installment in the Crank series this weekend, and man had to leave because the subject matter was too much for my kid. It was definitely non-stop action and kind of quirky in a disturbing way. I mean the premise of it wins kudos for originality, a fiend has taken his heart and he escapes and has so many hours to get it back. How lucky he is to know somebody who not only knows all about his problem but can put his heart back in his body. It's got lots of skin and…

Well, the trailer for Crank 2 (sequel to 2006's Crank) is up. The trailer is looking a lot better than the poster in my opinion. The movie looks like it should make its money. I just hope its a lot better than Death Race.
So please comment and let me know what you though t of the traile…

What the happy horseshit is this? No. Really. What the happy horseshit is THIS???
Look, I knew a second CRANK was coming. Sure it sounds retarded, but so did the first one. And it worked. But it seems like they took the wanton in your faceness of the first and took that to a new level. A level that strangely feels like watching a bad porno movie. You know the ones I'm talking about - the ones where porn stars think they're funny and cl…

A little intro before I start a countdown, but I have a tremendous hardon for dudes with guns going at it. In a manly, go get us some chicks manner, dur. In America, where many folk have a hard-on for the second Amendment, there's nothing like watching some big dude on roids grab a firearm and right all the wrongs in the world. So uh, strap in, hold on, and I'll spout off my own opinion and you can tell me I'm horribly wrong with obscure internet references at the end.

Title:
Crank 2: High Voltage
Plot:
Chev Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.
Well I haven't seen the first one but I just ranted it and I'm gonna watch it tomorrow, I'll probably wright a review.
