I'm Thinking Twice About The Things That Go Bump In The Night...
It's really incredible what you can do with a camera, baby powder, moving sheets, and swinging doors. It's even more incredible when you look at the budget of this film and think about how much you can get out of… Continue
Now, here's a movie that has already received my attention (on one other occasion; on this site). But (again), I want to talk about a little movie that, not only bombed at the box-office, but was destroyed by audiences around the world, as well. Of course, I'm talking about a film called 'The Crow: City Of Angels'.
Eh, Jon... Why exactly are you bringing up this movie again?
Well, the… Continue

So some of us had the freaking terrible option of seeing the first Sex in The City movie, but now THE HORROR CONTINUES! That's right my fellow Spillios, The Sex and the City movie will be returning with a sequel. Now the characters will be reprising the roles with actors Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristen Davis and Chris Noth. Thankfully the movie wont be hitting theaters until May of 2010. From some set pictures that have been released during filming we see things such as… Continue
Hey Guys! I just got a new HDTV LCD set and I decided to take it upon myself to recommend some Blu-rays! These are films that I own on Blu-ray or have seen in person and they all tend to blow me away with the quality. So check em out!
Blade Runner (1982)
For this film being nearly 20 years old, you can tell that Ridley Scott put his bloo… Continue
Mid-life crisis' have never been so fun. I can't wait for mine, but instead of going to a ranch im going to Cancun and swim forever in the lake and maybe nobody will find me.
Three male friends, facing their 40th birthdays and experiencing midlife crises, decide they need time away from their "soft" city lives. They decide to vacation at a dude ranch, where they will be responsible for a… Continue

Allen Baron didn't make that many films (maybe only two or three at most in a career mostly dominated by TV gigs), but perhaps one near-great film is enough. There are two kinds of directors in this world, my friend: those who ma… Continue

Last time, it was the 'Spider-Man' line of films that I took my "honest (and unbiased) look at. But, this time, it's 'The Crow' line of films. Starting from 'The Crow' right down to 'Salvation'.
But... Jon, why no 'Wicked Prayer'?WHAT?! Are you serious?... The one with young John Connor himself, Edward Furlong? No, thanks. I have made it a priority to stay the hell away from that… Continue
My husband and I recently cuddled up on the couch to watch the Sex and The City movie on dvd. We could not have picked a worst film for date night!
Both of us were appalled: not only was the movie incredibly negative towards relationships, dating, marriage and (gasp!) love, it didn't even feature any of the wit and clever repartee that made the series such a success -- and the clothes weren't even that great!
The best part about the Sex and The City movie?
The Judith Leiber… Continue

I'm not an uber-anime freak. If anything, I'm an artist who happens to like a good storyline and something pretty to look at. Every time I try to see if there's anything worth while to check out, I have to scrounge through 90% porn and idiot-nonsense to find something of substance and then I still don't feel satisfied. And so, that is why I am sitting here today, witting a damn review that appeals to a very small part of the crazy nerd audience. In a way, I've done this before on a blog. But tha… Continue
When I titled "Hint" to this little blurb, I meant to say, "They can't take a 'completely understandable and previously agreed upon statement.'"
I hooked up with a guy I met at the bar here in town. Nothing out of the ordinary to hook-up with someone. What is out of the ordinary, however, is when that hook-up suddenly decides that you need to form a relationship...
I don't think that some of these people quite understand what a hook-up implies. James seems to think that even after I asked, "so… Continue

How many graphic novels can you name that would count as literature? There's Watchmen, naturally. And Maus, you can't forget that one! Oh, and The Dark Knight Returns... and eh... Persepolis... that would count too... hmmm. The high art of graphic novels sort of stops a… Continue
I think I might be a titch on the feminist side. Okay yeah I am. Either that, or the guys in Southern Utah are just retarded. If this is you, and you know that you're not so bad, come prove it to me because I just must have the worst luck in meeting people down here.
Two friends of mine came down from Cedar City to go to that anime convention in St. George and I had already told them that I was going to be really busy the entire day. I even woke up extra early to sew one of their costumes.. ..… Continue

Accents: that bane of actors throughout the world both in theatre and in film. They can sell or sink any performance. However, there is no accent more maligned, more butchered, more viciously fucked up on film than the Irish accent.
