Damn, dude. I thought all the reviews for this game on the big websites were payed off by Activision or something, because it's getting the most amazing reviews! Well, I went out and bought it... they were definitely not payed off. This game kicks ass.
Let's start with the good aspects: It has the best single-player campaign I've ever played. (Of course, I haven't played Uncharted 2 yet...) There are moments in here that look like they'd be well suited for a movie, and a badass one at that. It'…

I'm reviewing the wresting game with the character creator, the story creator, the move set creator, and a whole bunch of other needless but fun creators... is the title correct?
Anyway, let's start off with the good of this game:
The customization. Dear. God. It's like being a fat kid in a candy store for people like me who love to create characters in games. I re-created the most awesome character ever (From about 5 years ago in another wrestling game), PinkasaurausRex, my favorite character…

What would happen if you mixed W.O.W. with Fallout 3? Why, you'd get Borderlands, the dark horse this year of first person shooters! I didn't expect much of this game, just a Fallout ripoff, but damn, did it deliver.
On with the good of this game: The gameplay. It's nothing face-melting, but it's got solid shooting and a god damn huge amount of weapons, I think over 200,000. So far I've used maybe 300, and still collecting. Of course, you have a backpack like Fallout with which you carry everyt…

M'kay, my first copy of this was apparently saved as a draft. Yet I have no Idea how to retrieve it so i'll just write a new one.
Halo: ODST puts you in the place of a lonely soldier wandering the streets of New Mambasa after a Covenant ship hyper-warped into space causing him and his squad to crash in the abandoned city. That's a cool-ass concept, right? Moving on to the pros:
The game is a new take on the human-convenant war. It does a great job of making you feel like a vulnerable soldier,…

The ultimate team up for the rights of superheroes!
That sounds like a pretty awesome concept, right? If that was the synopsis you first heard of this game and you didn't read comics, it would sound pretty awesome. Does this game live up to that one sentence?
Yes and no. It's definitely not ultimate, but it's pretty cool for comic geeks like myself. On with the pros.
The roster of this game is huge, and although it takes out a few great characters from the first game like Dr. Strange, The Hulk…

This review's gotta be brief, got to go to bed soon.... tired as shit.
Okay, so Wolfenstein is ID's return to the franchise after the critically praised "Return to Castle Wolfenstein". I've played RCW, and it's amazing fun, but does this one match up? Yes and no. The single player is just as good, but the multiplayer fails as a whole.
In single player you control B.J. Blascowikz (if that's how you spell it), the super jew. Well, his name sounds super jewish. You go around doing favors for "The…

Thank the lord for a good Batman game. Finally, my dreams have come true.
This is, by far, the greatest comic book game ever made.
Forget about Spider-Man 2. Sure, it was great, but this game is leaps and bounds ahead of anything before it. The creativity in this game is so amazing and... okay, onto the first paragraph with the good stuff.
Batman: AA, is a beautiful, beautiful game. The textures are amazing, and no detail is spared in the amazing environments. What's amazing is that this game…

The Education of Charlie Banks (2007) is a beautifully written, directed, and acted independent film about life, college, friendship, growing up, discovery, and the decisions we make. The cinematography and music make the movie flow wonderfully in this low key story.

First off, I'm sorry I haven't posted any reviews lately, like Fuel and Overlord 2. I couldn't get my hands on ANY recent games, but I hope to start back up soon with a review in late July of Blazblue, the anime fighter. I think.
Okay, onto Ghostbusters. Does busting on a console really make you feel good? Damn right it does.
First off, the good. The story is a huge highlight of this game. The dialogue is spot on for all the characters, and all the original voices are back, even Peck from the…

These speeches send chills down the spine and fire to the groins. They make you stand up and tell your boss, that stuck-up, arrogant wanker, to go fuck himself. They make you stand up in the middle of the cinema, saluting and screaming with passion, thoroughly embarrassing your friends. They make you look at the world around you and say "This world is mine. And this life is mine to live." These are the moments where, despite everything in the way; every enemy and opponent, every obstacle and wal…

Apocalypse
Story: Apocalypse is based in a small town named Prescott Springs. It’s a medium sized town that has been overrun with “The Plague”. That is codename for: you guessed it, Zombies. This game is more about survival than anything. Sure, uncover the mystery behind all of this, but you have to get through 2 weeks. Imagine a town from fallout, except a little less radiated and battered. Now imagine it lifeless, with paper rolling down the street like tumble-weeds. Moving onto missions, the…

I'm going to start a quick series of my ideas for stand-alone games/sequels. None of these were done on the spot, so I'm going to post them in rapid succession.
DARK SECTOR 2
Story: You’ve made it back to America, (After you killed Mezner, a chopper came) but you are held in quarantine, because they are worried about the infection spreading, but they’re too late. On the news it shows that a small town out of New York has become infected. Turns out that Mezner sent a crate of infection samples…

Oh, look! A new Volition game! Great, I'll hopefully get what I expect from the Saints Row developers: Gore, language, drugs and nudity!
Nope. Guerilla is SR's estranged cousin that never liked to hang out with him. This game doesn't stray too far from the Saints Row formula, having you complete side-missions to go onto the next story-related mission, but this game takes itself way more seriously than Saint's Row. The story goes: You are Alec Mason, a simple man from Earth looking to the red pl…

Damn you, Damnation, for making me play that same mining level over and over and over... and over and over... Well. Onto the review. This game is a sort of "What if?" scenario, and the basic story outline is cool, but overshadowed by random weirdness. The game takes place in the Civil War, but in an advanced, Steam-punk age. Halfway through the war, William Prescott introduces new Steam-punk weaponry, and continues the war 40 years after it should've ended.
So, lets start with the positives: Th…

How's it hangin'? Felt like doing a review of a film I saw yesterday. Not new, not topical, just a random film. That what I call it. Not laziness or inconsistency, but randomness. Next time you're in trouble at work for lack of effort, just say you're random. Did somebody say promotion?
You're welcome.
Anywhom, onto the film at hand -

Adaptation. is a 2002 film directed by Spike Jonze, starring Nicholas Cage, Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper, written by Charlie Kaufman.
The film is about A lovelorn screenwriter who turns to his less talented twin brother for help when his efforts to adapt a non-fiction book go nowhere.
Charlie Kaufman is brilliant, the way he wrote this film, basi…

In celebration of the New Year, I decided to highlight a few films I liked that are centered on the holiday. As far as films are concerned, the holiday is largely ignored. However, I am pleased to say that the ones that ARE available are fun to watch and some are even excellent films overall. Those listed below are in no particular order.
Peter's Friends

By now we all have heard of the claim Fox has over Watchmen. Of course WB is trying to work through it. But I would never guess they would do it like this:

LOS ANGELES – "Two and a Half Men" has spawned one major lawsuit.
Warner Bros. Television sued CBS in Los Angeles on Wednesday, claiming it is owed nearly $70 million for producing and licensing the hit sitcom.
The show, which stars Cha…
