Rating-Some Ole' Bullsh*t!! 2009 and 2010 were the worst summer movie seasons, like ever. For every good movie that was released during them (District 9, Toy Story 3, Inception, Iron Man 2) we had a ton of shitty movies that accompanied them. And G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra was one of the bad ones, yet not as bad as some of the others were. It is just flat-out stupid. G.I Joe: The Rise Of Cobra is about... well, it's about a team of soldiers trying to stop… Continue

Rating-Matinee! You know why I hate Kristen Stewart? Because she has to fuck up everything. She is not a good actress at all, and this movie is a good example of this. The story of Snow White And The Huntsman is that a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) must hunt down dumbass Snow White (Kristen Stewart) for the evil queen (Charlize Theron). The story is decent enough, but it just feels so mundane and "Been there, done that". I mean, how many times have we seen this… Continue

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is one of the worst action movies I have ever seen in my entire life. How do you fuck up a concept this simple? Robots beating the shit out of each other should’ve been awesome, yet dumbass Michael Bay found a way to fuck it up beyond belief.

It seems a bit odd that one of the fathers of the modern blockbuster would have a problem with computer effects, but Steven Spielberg
seems to have something to say about our modern special effects.
The director recently told Empire Magazine: "There's so many tools we have now in the toolshed,
and it's just a matter of individual choice of how we use these tools. I,
frankly, think that special effects are becoming too special.… Continue

Ever since George Lucas got on his high Tom-Tom declaring movies are never finished, audiences were left with a bad taste in their mouth as we watched Greedo shoot first and a CGI Jabba slither about. So you can imagine how one would react to Ghost in the Shell 2.0, a remaster/upgrade of the first Ghost in the Shell film (as if it needed one). However, Ghost in the Shell is one of the few anime movies I'd love to have on Blu-Ray. And while this isn't… Continue

With the recent announcement of an Asteroids movie I got to thinking, what other classic gaming franchises could make a kick ass movie? I know that most video game movies so far have been piles of dog shit but I still have hope that if the right franchises are done well (and not made by fox) video game adaptions could be really awesome. So I compiled this quick list to display my top 5 choices:
5. Jak & Daxter…

I heard about this movie about half a year ago and I think this could be way better than the Monsters vs. Aliens that's coming out next week.
The plot is basically a reverse ET. An American astronaut lands on a planet thinking it was uninhabited, but soon realizes that it is. The aliens on this planet fear humans, due to their movies and comic books. The astronaut goes on the run from the planet's authorities and eventually befriends a young alien… Continue
