Cyrus Cyrus is Charmed by "Castle" Season One

Gawd, I remember around the mid eighties staying up late to watch something like four hours straight of ‘detective’ shows, usually with partners that had very different ways of doing things, the classic being “MoonlightiContinue

Charlie Dirkx Wolfenstein Review

This review's gotta be brief, got to go to bed soon.... tired as shit. Okay, so Wolfenstein is ID's return to the franchise after the critically praised "Return to Castle Wolfenstein". I've played RCW, and it's amazing fun, but does this one match up? Yes and no. The single player is just as good, but the multiplayer fails as a whole. In single player you control B.J. Blascowikz (if that's how you spell it), the super jew. Well, his name sounds super jewish. You go around doing favors for "The… Continue

Puerto-Greecan Hayao Miyazaki's Second Feature Film

Before we start this is not a review and I suck at English. I wondered if any of you saw "The Castle Of Cagliostro" the second Lupin III movie and one of Miyazaki's first movies. This movie predates almost all of his others being released in 1979 before he started his own company, Ghibli. It stars master thief Lupin III trying to release a girl from an unwanted marriage from a man looking to unlock the fortune of The Castle of Cagliostro. This is one of Miyazaki's more comedic tails but still h… Continue

Michael Tractor Thoughts: Episode 2 Miyazaki

Another week of mowing and I thought about Miyazaki and his films. Well the three films of his that I have seen. There really are no films quite like Miyazaki films. The only films, to me anyway, that can measure up to Miyazaki films are the Disney/Pixar films, but thats another blog, maybe. Each film is imaginative, completely unique yet familar, and full of heart. For example: Spirited Away

Zeek Slider Cultural Reboot: Exploring the Deeper Meanings of Hayao Miyazaki's Films

So sitting next to me at my computer is my Miyazaki collection I got for Christmas. It doesn’t have all of his movies, just the big seven. And I recently learned that my theatre will be one of the few locations to get Miyazaki’s next film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea if Disney doesn’t decide to do a mass release. Which would be foolish, but hey, what do I know? And then, after l… Continue

Punisher: Warzone

" Infamous vigilante, anti-hero Frank Castle (Ray Stevenson) is six years into his vengeance driven zeal as the Punisher when he brutally assaults a "beat the rap" party for notorious mob boss Gaitano Cesare. During the course of the massacre, he hideously disfigures overeager gangster Billy Russoti (Dominic West) and murders a mafia lackey who turns out to be an undercover FContinue

MaxJayJay My Top Ten: Favorite Aussie Movies

Being a guy who lives in Australia most of my life, we Aussies have a fair share of good films. There are some things in Australia that makes us unique from the rest of the world like VBs, Footy, meat pies, vegemites, even though I don't like those kinds of stuff. Thing is most of great Hollywood actors nowadays are Aussies. Even Health Ledger who f*ckin played the Joker in The Dark KnighContinue
