Alice in Wonderland set to come out March 5 2010, has already spread through out different places through the world, such as merchandise from Hot Topic, to showing their trailers in 3-D. But Alice in Wonderland is even influencing the world of music. Popular Fueled by Ramen band, Paramore, has released a new video (directed by Meiert Avis) for their newest single "Brick by Boring Brick, off of their newest rock album "Brand New Eyes." The beautiful video includes many Alice in Wonderland referen… Continue
This has been on mind for quite a while. I always wondered what would certain Disney Animated classics would look if big named and important directors got a hold of them, for good or ill. The following is would be taglines for their posters. Most of these taglines are borrowed from each of the director's own film posters. There are some that I tweaked a bit to fit with the film, others I left alone because it fit the film.
If The Coen Brothers directed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs?… Continue
A few weeks ago, movie fans were blessed with the gift that was District 9. First time director Neil Blomkamp (along with producer Peter Jackson)'s dark action packed sci-fi film (which was based off a short film) became a smash hit and is still currently in this weeks top 10 at the box office. And here we are now with a similar flick, 9. This an edgy sci-fi animated film by another firs… Continue
"9", directed by first timer Shane Acker, is a film unsure of itself. Whether that be the fact that it's stuck between adult content and child-like simplicity in terms of character and plot, or the vague morale message it uses as a weak excuse for its post apocalyptic setting. It's contrived, the dialogue, thankfully spare, drags the film, and plot progression only comes in when they animators need another excuse for a fight scene.
The short film that the movie is based on (they share a t… Continue

You ever see a trailer for a movie that looks totally bad-ass, only to get to the end of the trailer and see: "Coming December of next year"; or something like that. Well, several months ago, while I was sitting in the theater waiting to see "Coraline", I saw for the first time, the trailer for "9". I wanted September to be arrive right then and now. Instead, I waited six months for the film to arrive. For the past few weeks, I had been growing anxious, waiting for 9/9/09 to arrive. Was this fil… Continue

Mars Attacks! Review
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 46%

Whenever I am asked what my guilty pleasure is, apart from a strange liking of folk guitar, this film always pops up. It is terrible. It took 100 million to put it out there and it made 101 million. It’s jaw droppingly bad. Yet for some reason this movie is something you can lie back, disconnect your jaw, and drib… Continue
Director Shane Acker is joined by his producer, the legendary Tim Burton, as they talk to Comic-con press about their upcoming apocalyptic animated fantasy feature '9'. '9' takes place in a world where humans have disappeared, leaving behind nightmarish creatures who hunt the small creatures that have survived.
In addition Tim Burton talks about his background in animation and what led him to direct live action. For people who have spent their entire day answering one questio… Continue
So, the new Alice In Wonderland movie from Tim Burton finally has a trailer up. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm hoping that's just because it's a teaser. It's not quite as dark or eerie as I was hoping for and the cheshire cat isn't as creepy as I was expecting either. I guess I was hoping for something a little more along the lines of American McGee's Alice, though I should have known better with the Walt Disney logo at the beginning of this trailer!
Check the teaser trailer below!

For all you animation nuts out there, you should really check out the new teaser trailer of the Tim Burton produced ‘9′. Nothing is really known about the plot yet except what’s in the trailer. I think it looks good, but a bit too much like a video-game. But I’ll definitely be followi… Continue
Having come off a marathon viewing session of The Dark Knight, I can never watch Burtons batman films ever again without crapping my pants with laughter at how terribly, vomit inducing, kitten stompingly bad those films are. My only criticism of The Dark Knight is aspect ratio switching is more distracting on… Continue

Now, I heard about this film a year or so ago, and was rather excited about it. However, no news of the film surfaced and I figured they weren't going to go through with it.
This morning, I logged into my gmail account and a friend of mine linked me to it straight away. Some of the clips in the trailer are from what they had out previously, but they now have voices to go with the characters.
Really exciting stuff here people, and I cannot wait to… Continue
My Top 5 Favorite Musicals
In my mind, there is no middle ground when it comes to musicals; either I love them or I hate them. So, what makes a good musical? Well, I’ve got some personal preferences…
1. The success of the musical should NOT be only due to the music; characters and plot to augment the songs seal the deal.
2. Give our characters a REASON to sing. Random outbursts of song are jarring and can be disruptive to the flow of the film.
3. The songs MUST have a point, whether it s… Continue
Word's out that a remake of Moby Dick is in the works. I don't feel all that confident in it. So it had me thinking about other remakes, including reboots, such as comic book films. So here's my immediate opinion.
