How Christopher Nolan's Justice League Is Not Impossible
First of all, let's look over the plot summary of the Dark Knight trilogy as the definitive Batman story on film. As a young boy, Bruce Wayne's parents are killed in front of him and thus decides to travel the world for many years to find his life purpose with the aid of the League of Shadows…

Nature--Don't Torture--the Noob
Wow--my very first Spill.com discussion, and already I made enough enemies here to feel like just closing down my frikking account...
My God, what a bunch of jackasses!
User-names aside, for the sake of my point, I'll would like to preface this...'Piece', 'Rant', or 'Whatever', by stating first how much I love the reviews--and so, the actual 'Spill.com' crew (the guys who make this site).
MOVING ON, though--'the Community' here is getting more mean-spirited and…

Silver Linings Playbook Review
It looks as if Robert De Niro has found his new muse. If De Niro sticks with Bradley Cooper for anything he does from now on, he just might return to the greatness of what made him great in his later years. Not to say that he hasn't shown it before since Limitless was an excellent…

What Makes One The Sexiest Man Alive?
As some of you may or may not be aware, Channing Tatum has been selected as People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for the year of 2012. It's fair to say that Tatum has been met with both praise and criticism for landing such a place in Hollywood's consciousness. Whether it's people who think that Ryan Gosling was once…

High Hopes - A Retrospective On An Unrealized Spill Movie: The World and Other Things
Christ, this one took forever to do, but in the time that it's taken, I've been pulling all my notes and scribbles together (both old and new) to, well, figure out what to write about next.
In my last blog I said I'd divulge my tale to you, the reader (again, how many out there that cares to read this), but…

My Dream Team: One Fan's Idea for the Cast of a Justice League Movie
Joe Manganiello as Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman. Okay, take away the beard and then you have an excellent person for Superman in a Justice League movie. Not only has he stated that he wanted to play Superman really badly in the upcoming Man of…

Looper Review
Rarely does a science fiction film make you really think about philosophical questions that are nearly impossible to answer but whenever one does come along, it's always a real treat. The same goes for time travel stories. It is so rare to find an excellent example of what a time travel movie should be because whenever…

'Skyfall' Underwater Video Blog
It's now October, which means we are but a mere month away from the release of Sam Mendes' 'Skyfall,' the twenty-third movie in the James Bond franchise. If you've been following this site at all over the last year, you'll know how insanely excited we are for the film. The official website for…

'Skyfall' Opening Sequence Vlog
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all the video production blogs from the set of Sam Mendes' 'Skyfall.' I must say however, I was a little nervous to watch this latest one, posted on the film's official website. It concerns the opening sequence, and my concern was that it would show too much of it; spoiling the surprises.…

Ranking the Gotham Rogues: The Best and Worst of Christopher Nolan's Batman Villains
Of all the superheroes in all the world, Batman is one of the most iconic and legendary. Why is that? Is it his great fortune? His ultimate humanity? His unique symbol or quest for justice? Or is it partly the fact that he has spawned some of the greatest villains in all of modern literature, never minding their origins in comic book form? Yes, it is safe to say that Batman's rogues' gallery is arguably the greatest in all of comic books simply because each villain has a fascinating thing…

New 'Skyfall' Production Vlog
As much as James Bond jets all over the planet fighting the forces of evil, it would be easy for his primary connection to England to become secondary to his globetrotting heroics. The latest video blog for Sam Mendes' 'Skyfall' is all about trying to strengthen the character's roots and make London more a…

Ultimate Spider-Man: A Polite Rant About Misaimed Intentions
For those geeks of you who haven't been living in a cave for a while, the new Marvel animated show, Ultimate Spider-Man, has been met with much, much dislike by the community at large. This is because it was not only heralded by the cancellation of the, well, spectacular show, The Spectacular Spider-Man (which, if…

Epic New 'Hobbit' Video Blog
One of the great things about the production of Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit' has been the release of each of the video blogs. These videos have taken us behind the scenes in such a personal, humorous, and fascinating way, which we would typically have to wait to see until the Blu-ray. This latest…

The Dark Knight Rises - (minimal spoilers)
I just came back from a trilogy showing/back to back of BB and TDK with a midnight release of TDKR. I posted a mini review just before, but I decided to go a little bit more in depth, so it could be more interesting. It is really hard to give a review without spoilers, so I've done my best to avoid any major ones. I haven't really done a blog post before, but here goes.

(Hy)Lights: Childish Gambino – “Royalty” Mixtape
Well, this is MAK2.0 aka the HybridMedia and I’m bringing something new to the table with this new secondary blogging project, alongside Anime Discovery (which it’s still ongoing) and it is called “HyLights”.
Now why did I call this blog, “HyLights”?
Besides the gimmicky thrown-in of my screen name that…

I've heard a lot of people complaining about remakes these days, and this year especially with the reboot of Spider-Man. Personally, The Amazing Spider-Man is one of my most anticipated movies of this summer. My philosophy is that there's no such thing as a bad idea, only a bad movie. And maybe it will be a bad movie, but that's no reason to bash it for existing. Just don't give it money!
But I digress. With the new Spider-Man movie coming out, and having just watched and reviewed …

New 'Skyfall' Video Blog
It may just be because I'm such a Bond geek, but I love following the 'Skyfall' updates and new behind-the-scenes featurettes that pop up on the official James Bond website. This latest video blog details some of the locations at which 'Skyfall' will be shot. Namely, it focuses on the various places around Shanghai where filming is currently taking place. I love the look and feel…

Red Dawn Remake Thoughts
It has now been a couple of years since the announcement that there will be a remake of the 1984 film "Red Dawn." The movie was filmed in Detroit in 2009, and they have had troubles in post-production.
In the movie, a group of teenagers fights against a troop of Korean soldiers that have invaded their town, and the country.
Apprently, MGM wanted Toby Keith to do the soundtrack for the movie, but they couldn't afford him. MGM does have some money troubles, but is that…
