Marvel Season one

So I've finally gotten around to reading some of Marvel Season one and I got to say, it's an interesting update of the origins. I was privileged enough to read both of the Team books: FF and X-men. I'm also now reading the first of the second wave Ant-man. The art in both the team books is very well done for a graphic novel, nothing mind blowing alex ross level but nothing horrid Rob Liefeld level(though from the first few pages of Ant-man, I'm cautious as it appears to look very cartoon…

Skellingjack's Top 15 Best Movies of 2011

Well, it feels like just yesterday that 2011 just started. Now it’s December and the year is nearly over and I have to say, it’s been quite an impressive year for movies in my opinion. Sure, the two previous years were quite good too however this year had a great amount of films that were either, good, great, or even amazing. And that’s what this list is all about the amazing films of 2011. There were so many good films this year; I felt a top ten would not be enough for some of my personal…

Lets talk about the X-men

Hey can we talk, about something that we just can't put to rest, the X-men series. I'm sure this is something that has already been talked about to death, next to the Star wars movies. But this is something that I grew up with, so it left a greater impression on me, as I'm sure it did others.

I remember when I was in the forth grade, hearing from a friend about an X-men movie being done, and I was so excited about it. And looking back, thank god they never went through with then.…

Hey guys! What’s going on? So I’m currently in the process of writing of several blogs for you this weekend which are a little back up due to a hectic work week for yours truly. As usual, my

Marvel Animation at Comic-con

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=22237

After reading this article I had to comment about it and why some of this excites me and some doesn't.

Josh Fine said "We're really pushing to make this the greatest decade of Marvel Animation you've ever seen," which is kinda cool since I felt that out of all the things that Marvel Animation brought out, "The… Continue

Deadpool,Wolverine,X2,and Marvel Dropping The Bloody Ball

before we start this off i think i'll let it be known that i LOVED X-men Origins: Wolverine. i loved seeing wolverine in a different light because quite frankly (despite him being one of my favorite characters) I've never been able to give a rats arse about him. as a child when i read the X-men i looked at them as a team, as each individual making something bigger and more important than themselves, so seeing the wolverine hype thats taken over the world for the past near decade has been… Continue

Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy - Comics as Fashion and Art? WTF?!

A year ago, before I even found Spill, I found myself in New York City in an artistic pilgrimage to help my artistic endeavors. However, while playing tourist, I found myself at the Met Museum of Art. What drew my attention? A banner advertising an art show about comic book superheroes. Upon paying only $1 for my ticket in, I discovered just what kind of show I was actually in for. Sponsored by fashion designer Giorgio Armani, I saw a gallery filled with… Continue
