Alice: Madness Returns Review(Spoiler Free)

When Alice: Madness Returns was first announced I thought it would be the game that caught everyone by surprise. Sadly though Alice suffers from some problems that keeps it from being that. Lets just jump into the review.

Alice in Wonderland: Weirdly Inconsistent

I’ve always seen Tim Burton as a cult director, and the reason I say this is that he has never been mainstream or even been a big office generator. Sure he has his major financial hits now and again, but they

are nothing compared to directors like Spielberg, Cameron, or even

Michael Bay. This newest film of his however has become the film that

just won’t die, as it has slowly but steadily crept up the box office

charts to…

Ezra's Huge Reviews Top 10 Favorite Films of 2010 So Far Part 1

10. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (***)

I think that although this is not a faithful adaptation, I think that it was a pretty good film

for sure. I think that it has some funny moments, but it does have that problem of not

being true to the source material.…

My Three Least Favorite Movies of 2010 (So Far)

3.) Clash of the Titans (In "3D")

This movie is not worth the time, energy, and money to see it in 3-D. That being said I am struggling to find a reason to see it in 2-D. The movie was horribly paced, comedy was injected at all the wrong times, and the Kraken was defeated in 4 mins. Basically the poster for this…

Alice in Wonderland treads a fine line

Originally posted at moniqueblog.net

Tim Burton has now reimagined three already successful films-Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Planet of the Apes, and now Alice in Wonderland. But where Burton excelled with his version of Willy Wonka, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, he narrowly escaped the same ground he tread with The Planet of the… Continue

What Tim Burton Should Do

I just got back from Alice in Wonderland and noticed something. But first, an introduction:

I was a fan of Burton back before some terrible films got made. Like Planet of the Apes and such travesties. I also used to enjoy Johnny Depp before he started playing every possible obnoxious person he could find (with some great roles thrown in the mist, of course). But what Tim Burton has never failed to do is make… Continue

SkellingJack's Alice in Wonderland review

Now when it comes to directors, one of my favorite directors out there is Tim Burton. Now before all of you Tim Burtons haters start criticizing me, I will say that Tim Burton isn't the best director out there. However I have really enjoyed a ton of the films he has made in the past. While not all of them were great, there were more that I enjoyed than disliked, and Alice in Wonderland is definately in the category of a film I liked from Tim…

Alice In Wonderland IMAX 3-D Review

"You're absolutely Alice, I'd know you anywhere."

Whether you love him or hate him, you have to admit Tim Burton is a visual genius. His films always have enough wild artistic imagination to keep audiences satisfied, and sometimes he can actually tell a decent story when he puts his mind to it. It wasn't a surprise when it was announced he would tackle… Continue

Alice In Wonderland Teaser

So, the new Alice In Wonderland movie from Tim Burton finally has a trailer up. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm hoping that's just because it's a teaser. It's not quite as dark or eerie as I was hoping for and the cheshire cat isn't as creepy as I was expecting either. I guess I was hoping for something a little more along the lines of American McGee's Alice, though I should have known better with the Walt Disney logo at the beginning of this trailer!

Check the teaser trailer… Continue

Alice in Russia-land …

Personally I’m a big fan of Lewis Carroll work. True! Apparently the guy turn-out to be a pedophile (check the last LEOG for details), but much like in Michael Jackson’s case, was the guy was pedophile, or not, honestly dose not influence much he’s views in his work.

Heck! Fact that ‘Alice Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the looking” was written as some sort of sexual expression, makes sense to me. Laugh, but I don’t see “Alice” books as something meant for kids. Maybe it’s do, to… Continue
