Let's talk about-ANIME!

Anime, the good, the awesome, and the bad.
Should be simple enough, I hope.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Review

With a title like Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, you’re probably thinking the same thing, “wow, this sounds like a dumb idea”. However this idea despite being dumb either makes you think that it’s going to be so dumb that it’s awesome or so dumb to the point that it is bad. The real question is; is Abraham Lincoln so dumb that…

Phurdrick's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Movie Review

Dark Shadows review

Dark Shadows review

If there is one director that is a Hit or Miss Director that I actually enjoy, it is Tim Burton. Tim Burton is an incredibly talent director, and while he does tend use some of the same actors in films like Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, and tends to make movies that are more style over substance, his films tend to at least be enjoyable for me, whether it has such a good style to the point where I genially enjoy it, or…

Jesse Eisenberg Sues Lionsgate Over 'Camp Hell' DVD Cover

If you peruse the new release wall of your local videostore, assuming of course that it hasn't already closed it doors for good, you may notice a peculiar DVD cover. It is for a rather basic direct-to-video horror film called 'Camp Hell' and just as you are about to turn up your nose and walk by, you notice the familiar visage of one…

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 2 on BluRay 9/30/2011

I know what you're thinking: "That show is for high school girls. Why would I want to waste my time?" Because, really, this show is better (and darker) than it has any right to be. It is, for the most part, character-driven, and those viewers who get sucked into the show will keep watching because they will genuinely care about the characters.

In Season 2, the writers continue to expand the mythology of the vampires and witches, while adding the requisite werewolves to the…

Dance in the Vampire Bund Review

Besides being controversial for just the heck of it if you are a fan of the manga then this anime version isn’t for you. The first episode drags ass only the last five minutes do you get vampires and leading up to that you get news reports and people debating on a game show…

2010: The year of the geek

Let's face it. 2010 is not a good year for us and for me. I keep on walking down the street to see each magazine putting the Kardashians on the front cover going on with their trash. I constantly hear a song where every pick-up line is disguised as a lyric with the singer's voice enhanced singing (I'm talking to you Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo and Chris Brown who I still won't trust after he became a girl-basher). I see people walking to movies that I think are bad for their…

Movies to possibly be nominated for Worst Picture

After seeing all these blogs on Spill on The Academy Awards and what movies might be nominated for Best Picture and such. I decided, hey, No one did a blog on what's being nominated for the Razzies yet. So, I decided to do this now before anyone else does. Now, keep in mind, I haven't seen all of these movies I'm going to mentition on this list, This is mostly based off of what movies of this year are the most hated from critics and audiences alike. Besides, I didn't want to suffer from most…

My Review of "Let Me In" (Otherwise known as 'The Revival of Vampires')

I do recognize that I have been out of commission for over a year now, but I've been working on other writing projects. But now I have more free-time and will try and get more reviews out there.

Let Me In, directed by Matt Reeves, and starring Kodi-Smit Mcphee and Chloe Moretz, was seemingly doomed from the start. It is a remake of a 2008 Swedish film called Let The Right One In, a movie that captured many cinema goer's hearts. So naturally, the concept of an American remake…
