How Christopher Nolan's Justice League Is Not Impossible

First of all, let's look over the plot summary of the Dark Knight trilogy as the definitive Batman story on film. As a young boy, Bruce Wayne's parents are killed in front of him and thus decides to travel the world for many years to find his life purpose with the aid of the League of Shadows…

Ranking the Gotham Rogues: The Best and Worst of Christopher Nolan's Batman Villains

Of all the superheroes in all the world, Batman is one of the most iconic and legendary. Why is that? Is it his great fortune? His ultimate humanity? His unique symbol or quest for justice? Or is it partly the fact that he has spawned some of the greatest villains in all of modern literature, never minding their origins in comic book form? Yes, it is safe to say that Batman's rogues' gallery is arguably the greatest in all of comic books simply because each villain has a fascinating thing…

The Dark Knight Trilogy- A Spoiler Filled Post Mortem

I'll be honest, I'm a huge Batman fan. Even before Nolan's films gained the popularity that they have, I've been a fan. From Batman: The animated series to Justice League, Batman has been my favourite superhero and Nolan's films just reaffirmed my love for this complex character. In honour of Nolan's magnum opus, I'll be exploring the themes, failures and successes of the trilogy. Starting with:…

One shall stand, One shall fall in this excellent movie adaptation of a poular t.v. show/comic book

we all know of the "Tranformers". We all of the heroic AUTOBOTS who are lead by Optimus Prime and the evil Deceticons who are lead by Megatron. So then theres the movie adaptation of the series came out, we all said one thing in our minds " This movi is better than the series".

The Plot/Storyline was more adventurous than the series because it added not only realism, but a reason why the cybertronians/…

Alternative Lord of the Rings Soundtrack - The Tarantino and Scorsese Way!! - The Fellowship of the Ring

We all know about The Wizard of Oz and The Dark Side of the Moon but what about other soundtrack Synchronization to a movie like The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Well I did do that by listening to the Der Ring Des Nibelungen Opera Ring Cycle by Richard Wagner even though Professor Tolkien would roll over his grave if he heard I synch the music up with the films because he hated that Opera, but it felt right for the Norse and Celtic mood of the story.…

Del Toro States: Second Hobbit Film NOT A Bridge Film.

Speaking exclusively to Empire Magazine, Guillermo Del Toro spoke regarding the eagerly-awaited adaptation of the Lord Of The Rings prequel, The Hobbit, which until recently it was believed would comprise two movies, one being The Hobbit, and the other being a sort of bridge film between The Hobbit and LOTR.

Del Toro however, officially denies this.

“We’ve decided to have The Hobbit span the two movies,… Continue

Why The World Needs Robin. And, More Importantly, Why Batman and Nolan Do.

It's become quite fashionable to have a go at poor Dick Grayson. 69 years of loyal service to that darkest of knights and Christian Bale turns around and says "If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work"

Since this many have come out to say that placing Robin in the Nolan Batman films would be 'unrealistic' and detract from the tone of the films. Many… Continue

New Lord of the Rings Film: The Hunt for Gollum Gets Release Date

The Hunt for Gollum will premier on May 8th. For those of you who do not know about this film I'll fill you in on the basics:

The film is a non-profit film made in England on a budget of, apparently, £3,000. It's a half hour film and, as you might have guessed, concerns the hunt for Gollum, referenced in The Lord of the Rings book. While inspired by the production design of Peter Jackson's trilogy it takes its cues from the books rather than the films. The cast is… Continue

The Night Angel Trilogy

I'm currently reading a fantasy series called The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. It's a three book series, each book released respectively October 1st, November 1st and December 1st 2008. It's Awesome.

Each book is better than the last. I've been carrying the books around with me while at work and christmas shopping, and people keep saying, 'hey I'm reading that - isn't it great!' And it is. It's been a LONG time since a book has made me turn off the tv and my… Continue
