I was so hyped to hear Cree Summer on Thundercats, but then to also hear her playing opposite of Will(Lion-O/Leo) again and this time as a Love interest makes me gitty. I am in the Maxine/Terry relationship camp and would love to see their relationship grow.
The reunion was great but it was short lived, since she most likely died at the end of all that, and it takes place 1000's of years in the past. But hey maybe Cree will return as another character and spice up things between…

The reason I'm putting up a review for this movie is because it seems like one of those movies that is never gonna be seen by the general public its an easy find for bootleg cause it does not look like theres any other way you kids are gonna be able to see it even though it has some pretty famous actors like
Jay Baruchel ("Tropic Thunder")

and
Randy Quaid (Dennis Quaids…

I kept thinking to myself today; "Why does nobody make great comedy anymore? Why don't people make comedy anymore?" I mean, look at it; the best thing that's been released in the past three years of comedy is, arguably,
Tropic Thunder. But hell, if we're to be honest about it films such as
Disaster Movie, or
Meet The Spartans, have managed to get as much attention, if not more, and have left more of a mark on our perceptions of modern comedy. I'm sure most of you could name…

Let me start off by saying, this is NOT a best-of list. This is a list of my personal favorite 2008 movies
#5
Now I know what most of you are thinking. "You liked SAW V? It SUCKED!". Well I dare to be my own person and say that I LOVED SAW V. I like all of the SAW movies because they are engaging and they make you think. Plus is gives us horror junkies what we really want, lots of blood and gore. This one has tried to go back to what the original SAW was. It…

Tropic Thunder made me laugh my ass off so hard in theatres, that I knew I would end up adding it to my collection. The only question is was it worth paying top dollar for the director's cut?
To me, director's cuts of movies are afterthoughts that don't really matter since the original movie has already made a killing or a bomb at the box office. And a lot of em are just that; petty, meaningless afterthoughts that cloud or twist a once…

When I first posted this, I had received characters that I should have added. And I agreed with most. So here we go:
11) Arnie: What's Eating Gilbert Grape?

Still here is Arnie, the lovable retard played by a young Leo DiCaprio in an Oscar Nominated performance. An urban legend that I don't know the validity of is that he didn't get it because they were scared he really was retarded and might make a scene. Probably not true.…

As we all know,
Tropic Thunder held up some controversy for throwing out the "r" word without remorse.
Well, big deal. It was a satirical way of looking at shamelessly played retards in movies. I laughed at the "Simple Jack" idea.
But that's not what this is about. It got me thinking about good mentally challenged characters and here's my top ten.
7) Sam Dawson:
I Am Sam

Yes, he is a lovable character and…

Most have you have heard about the upcoming comedic film
Tropic Thunder, starring and directed by
Ben Stiller. The film is about fictional Hollywood actors, and frequently parodies aspects of the film industry. One such parody is found in the metafictional movie "Simple Jack" within the film. Ben Stiller's character, Tugg Speedman, portrayed…

After 4 weeks in the top spot, The Dark Knight was bested by this week's comedy release; 'Tropic Thunder'.
Thunder grossed an estimated $26 million for a five-day opening of $37 million.
The Dark Knight took in an estimated $16.8 million to bring it's total to $471.5 million. That $16.8 was enough however to beat this week's other big release; Star Wars: Clone Wars…

War, HUH, YEAH!!
This movie is fantastic. It's about all the Hollywood stereotyped sign to act in a war movie called "Tropic Thunder". After an incident during filming where 4 million dollar explosives go off with no cameras rolling, the studio threatens to shut down production. The source of this movie, who is played by Nick Nolte, advises the director to toss them in the jungle and rig the enviroment with explosives to scare the crap out…

I just got back from seeing a Tropic Thunder screening and all I have to say it was worth the wait. With all the recent press and backlash of the film I was still excited to see it. Also, after listening to NPR today with a interview with the president of the special olympics taking about now much the movie uses the word retarded, all I have to say to him is that well, um...he is retarded. This movie is funny as hell. On the verge of becoming something new, where I can't compare it to anything…

Paramount has launched three viral sites for "Tropic Thunder" promoting the Ben Stiller character Tugg Speedman along with two of his films Scorcher VI: Global Meltdown and Simple Jack. Be sure to check out the quote on the bottom left of the "Simple Jack" site. Also the studio has moved up the release date two days to August…

You know how there are some time travel stories where you can go in the past and see yourself, and others where you can't? Or how there are some time travel stories where if you change the past, nobody back in the future remembers how the world used to be, and others where they do remember?
A Sound of Thunder tries to be all of those at the same time, contradictions be damned.
Now, as someone who actually studied the logistics and philosophy of theoretical time travel in a…
