My Favorite Films of all time (this week) (which I wrote a while ago)

Scott Pilgrim VS the World:

I adore this SEVERLY underrated 2010 romantic comedy, science fiction, fantasy and action film. I REALLY do. It’s a brilliant tribute to geekiness, and all things geek. The script is witty; brilliant, and completely, no pun intended “game changing”. From its opening brilliantly shot with an 8 Bit Universal Studios logo to the near endless magnificant geek culture in jokes within this is easily one of my favorite films of all time.

The film stars…

The Avengers Review

When the Avengers truly assembled for the first time in San Diego two summers ago, Robert Downey, Jr. boldly stated that this film was "the most ambitious movie [he's] ever seen", even over the phenomenon that was Christopher Nolan's Inception. It has taken four years to develop the main…

Titanic 3D Review

What is arguably the most iconic Hollywood film of the modern era is back once again to rake in more money. But what is it that has made this film so massive in its impact? It's a movie about an event that almost no one living today ever experienced, it's a James Cameron film without nuclear weapons, Terminators,…

Terminator 5 Will Be Rated "R"

Cinema Blend reports that Termintor 5 will be rated "R" after getting poor returns on Terminator Salvation that was rated "PG-13"

Personally I didn't feel the movie was that bad an experience but the story and especially lead actor Christian Bale were pretty bad.   Bale seemed like he was just playing his…

Top Ten Coolest Ever Movie Posters!

For every movie there needs to be a poster right?

The movie may be crap but the poster might still be cool, some people even hang them up on their wall but might not even like the movie just the poster. Anyway this is my 10 favourie ever movie posters. I have seen all these movies and liked them all except one (try to guess which) and even though some of them have nothing to do with the movie itself there still really cool to look at:

10. A Nightmare On Elm…

Top 5 most disappointing films of 2009

Now there have already been a ton of top five/top ten list for the best and worst movies of 2009. However there have been quite a few films that I thought were disappointing from Last year. There probably had to been atleast one film from 2009 that you were probably disappointed with for some reason. Now with that being said the following films on the list had to been disappointing for me. It doesn't matter if the film was good or bad, It just didn't exceed my expectations. So… Continue

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines - Review

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Review

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 70%

My rating: Rental.

Another decade has passed since John Connor (Nick Stahl) helped prevent Judgment Day - the day the Skynet program was fated to became self-aware and destroy mankind. But August 29, 1997 came and went without incident. His mother deceased, Connor now lives "off the grid" with no record of his existence and thus no way Skynet… Continue

TOP 10 BEST FILMS OF THE SUMMER

I consider this summerto be a summerof ups and downs. For most people downs, but there were good and great films this year. It seems the big budget overly hyped films were the let downs. This list is to reconize the best of this summer.

10. Public Enemies Rating: Matinee

Of all films this summer this one seemed the most real to me. The HD style, and the building the costumes all seemed very real to…

Reviewing Summer 2009: Part III: Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

It’s no surprise that both have a lot in common. Not only are big robot action epics, but they’re also new entries in two beloved series. So how were they? Were they both equally satisfying or hugely disappointing?

Now I am more a Terminator fan than a Transformers fan. I just adore The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day, without question two of the best movies I have ever… Continue

So, I just turned a quarter century old some days ago...

and I started to reminisce over movies that have really shaped me, and, I believe, people of my generation (which by the way, I never had an idea which generation I belonged too). Anyways, so the list is short and in no particular order. I have just recently started watching more movies so my knowledge of movies is still fairly young. Also, I will only go off movies that I have seen in movie theaters. Also, if you’re not good at math, I was born 1984, but will only start to mention movies from… Continue

In the Wake of Transformers: Let's See How My Summer Predictions Have Turned Out! (So Far...)

Hey Spill, long time no see! Now that school's out (...for... SUMMER! [insert awesome guitar riff here]), I have all the time in the world to write for the site!

So... where was I?

Oh yeah, the Summer Movie Season!

If you recall my (featured, much-commented) article posted in April meant to determine which film would be the highest-grosser of the Summer (maybe the year), I made some (very detailed) analysis of many of the summer's big movies. By now, some are… Continue
