My Top 5 scariest moments in video games

Hello and Happy Halloween everybody. In honor of the season I thought I’d share the top five scariest moments I’ve had playing horror games. I’m no stranger to horror games and for some reason I love to scare myself. Personally I feel that playing a scary game is a much creepier experience than watching a movie, because it's interactive.

Before I start I should mention that I’m not calling this list the GREATEST SCARY MOMENTS IN GAMING HISTORY. I’m just stating that these…

Paranormal Activity 4 Review

Paranormal Activity 4

This was a movie that I honestly have been waiting a year to see. The third film in the franchise was a great addition and added a lot to the mythology. I was expecting this film to advance that and add more, and to have me come back at midnight next year. Sadly, that is not the case.  Though it did have a strong final five minutes this film is really just a rush job to capitalize on the franchise and it is showing diminishing…

The Omen

The Omen 1976

The Omen is one of my all-time favorite horror movies. A chilling tale disguised as a Blockbuster. We all know the story of young Damien, born and then adopted as by Robert Thorn ambassador to Rome and eventually to Great Britain. Is he an innocent boy or is he The Anti-Christ? We all know that he is the anti-Christ and that he is set to bring about Armageddon. The story though simple is an amazing one and the film is truly a masterpiece.

The first thing that we…

HAUNTING AT THE BEACON (Blu-Ray and DVD)

Note to self: don't trust the judgment of the "Paranoia Film Festival" that gave this 2009 ghost horror "Best Film". Unless its only competition were locally made commercials…

Where the Wild Things Are; I Love My Mom Too! - A Review

Saw “Where the Wild Things Are” tonight and though it was on my to-see list I wanted to catch “Zombieland” as this is Halloween and all. But the local theater apparently has a difficult time keeping their website up-to-date and when I got there I had three choices: “Stepfather”, “This is It”, and “Where the Wild Things Are.” I think I made the right choice considering. So what did I think?

It’s actually a very good film, just shy of great. And I say that to my shame… Continue

Meh's Drag Me To Hell review.

OH

MY

GOD

This movie is fucking great. It is non-stop fun, and will have you wanting to just run out to the bathroom before you pee on yourself, then you'll run back in to see this shit! I didn't do that, but I was incredibly close. The movie is NOT predictable. Whenever you feel relieved in this movie, the scares just keep coming back.

But not only is it fucking scary, it's literally hilarious at the same time!!!!

You… Continue

Is Comedy Dead?

I kept thinking to myself today; "Why does nobody make great comedy anymore? Why don't people make comedy anymore?" I mean, look at it; the best thing that's been released in the past three years of comedy is, arguably, Tropic Thunder. But hell, if we're to be honest about it films such as Disaster Movie, or Meet The Spartans, have managed to get as much attention, if not more, and have left more of a mark on our perceptions of modern comedy. I'm sure most of you could name… Continue

Terrible Lessons Hollywood Loves To Teach Us

How many times have you seen these situations in films? If you're any kind of film fan than it's probably every second of third film that Hollywood pumps out. Most lessons are harmless enough Be yourself, Dreams do come true and such and such. However, not every lesson or piece of moral guidance really stands up to logic or even makes all that much sense. As such I've decided to post 5 of the most common Terrible Lessons Hollywood Teaches… Continue

Hidey Ho!

Wow, first blog post

I'm sure it won't be the last

Well anyway, a friend and I are trying to get a little podcast/show going on in this website

I have no idea how it will all work out, but here's hoping it all comes together

He's Right Behind You! will be pretty much a horror movie themed podcast

We have no formal setup yet, no real schedule yet, but we do know, at least, it will have the stuff about the movies, and maybe some listener… Continue

The Most Iconic Horror Symbols of Our Time

Halloween is just right around the corner. This means young children and adults alike are out buying their favorite costumes. Most of these costumes come directly from horror films. If you're a horror film freak, you should know it doesn't take much to dress up as you're favorite psychopath killer. Something as simple as a mask or a glove can represent a charecter's twisted perspective. As soon as you see the symbol, you'll know where its from. Let's go through some of the most popular symbols… Continue
