The Fighter (2010)

Open Letter to Anyone Involved in the ARTHUR Remake

Dear Assholes,

I've recently learned that you people are remaking one of the dearest, funniest, most poignant and finely-crafted comedies of all time, 1981's entirely perfect and unassailable Arthur, starring Dudley Moore and John Gielgud. So I would like to take the time to urge each and every one of you -- from the producers and director, right on down to the lowliest grip and gaffer -- to kindly go fuck…

Seagal Marathon Day 3

I didnt have a chance to post yesterday do to football but rest assured i have continued to watch Steven Seagal movies. On day 2 i watched Under Siege, widely considered his best film and to tell you the truth i hated it. It had a cool concept and had some quality actors (Tommy Lee Jones, and Gary Busey) but really failed to interest me. It didn't really have any cool action sequences and Seagal didn't do anything cool. Plus the supporting cast didn't really help him at all. Tommy Lee Jones had… Continue

Advanced Review for Get Him To The Greek!

I think that many of us can say that we are Apatow Fans. Judd Apatow is that Hollywood icon who appeals to this generation, where we focus on lovable, realistic schlubs that can complete their own goals. They want to feel content by keeping their happy lifestyle, finding their dream girl, or being in the light of one of their heroes.

Now, while this film is only… Continue

'Saw VI' Review -- The 'Saw' Blade Sharpens Back Up

The Game Comes Full Circle...

I can remember walking out of Saw V last year, and I hate to say it...but I was pretty disappointed. The film just didn't deliver the goods. It's narrative and so called twist made the walk to my car a living hell, and I thought to myself: "They're going to mess up… Continue

State of Play: A nice and interesting thriller

State of play tells the story of U.S. Congressman Stephen Collins,an honorable appointee who serves as the chairman of a committee overseeing defense spending. But the murder of a congressman's mistress an the investigation of a pair of reporters along with the police department began to exhume a bunch of secrets. The plot is very well developed and convincing and the screenplay is twisty and engaging. Its that kind of movies with a lot of suspense and mystery, very good drama and a bit of… Continue

What's The Problem With Wonder Woman's Film?

With the recent release of the Wonder Woman DVD film there has been some renewed interest, (although slight) in Wonder Woman's big screen debut. Currently it's slated for a 2011 release. The film's been in production for nearly nine years now with big name producer Joel Silver guiding the film all the way. But, will the film ever make that 2011 deadline? The new animated film, and the… Continue

Bedtime Stories: Surprisingly funny and effective

Bedtime Stories is a movie that work for everybody, specially for kids. The adults will have a very good time with Adam Sandler because it is full of his typical humor but in a very light version and kids will love it because of all the fantasy it has. The story is quite interesting. The plot about a man in his thirties whose dream is to manage a five star hotel has to take care of his nephew and niece. Every night he tell a bedtime story before going to sleep and without any explanation some… Continue

My Favourite Movie Character of '08

The past year had some really enjoyable and unforgettable characters! We had the sexy Angelina Jolie in Wanted, the older Rambo and Indie Jones, Daniel Craig portaying the baddest James Bond and the annoying mini Will Smith or Jaden Smith in The Day the Earth Stood still. I'm going to start by saying that I bet everyone (or most) people will choose Heath Ledger's character of The Joker to be their most favourite character - and they should! I loved him playing the sadistic clown, and I would… Continue

Saw V Review - Is Saw Losing Its Edge? The Review From A Hardcore Fan

The Saw series has always intrigued me with its mind-twisting endings and its undertakings on moral irony. Few horror films in the history of cinema have given us an ‘analysis’ on human nature and our instincts of survival. These films aren’t your average gore fest movies where high school kids party, get drunk and are chased down by some psychopathic killer or super natural entity…these films study the human mind and our appreciation for… Continue
