First Trailer For 'Prometheus'

The moment we've all (well, maybe not all) been waiting for is finally here. The first trailer for Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' has finally landed. Apparently there is still a good deal of controversy over whether or not 'Prometheus' is an…

Teaser For 'Prometheus' Trailer

Something that seems to be a recent invention in the world of movie marketing is the teaser for a trailer. Where traditionally we'd get a teaser trailer, wait a while, and then get a full trailer, now a step is included between the two in which we are given glimpses at the full trailer usually the same week as its official release. So why showcase these superfluous teasers? In the case of…

First Poster For Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'

Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' is rapidly becoming one of my most anticipated movies of 2012. How much this 'Alien' prequel will actually connect back to the 1979 classic is uncertain, but the more glimpses we are given of the…

New Images From Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' Are Breathtaking

Like many of you, when I heard they were doing a prequel to 'Alien,' I was slightly perturbed. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, and I didn't see the need to go back and explain away all of the spooky mysteries of the story. But even I can't pretend to be anything but awestruck by these new images from Ridley…

NQP - ALIEN Series Retrospective Part 1

Hello there. Like our Predator special we knew one day we'd be doing a retrospective on the other famous Alien creature. With 3 hours of recording time it was a good idea that we're spliting this one into two parts. In the first part we talk about the first two films of the series, ALIEN and ALIENS. From concept to creation, our own personal history with the series, and why do…

Gladiator - Review

Gladiator Review

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 77%

My rating: Matinee!

In 2000 two movies got mixed up at the Academy awards; Gladiator and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. One won the best music when it should have won best film and the other won best film when it should have won best music. While both were excellent films and both had excellent music, the mix up was baffling as it was obvious which were superior in… Continue

If The Great Hollywood Directors Directed some of the Disney Animated Classics? (A WTF?! BLOG)

This has been on mind for quite a while. I always wondered what would certain Disney Animated classics would look if big named and important directors got a hold of them, for good or ill. The following is would be taglines for their posters. Most of these taglines are borrowed from each of the director's own film posters. There are some that I tweaked a bit to fit with the film, others I left alone because it fit the film.

If The Coen Brothers directed Snow White and… Continue

Movie Review - Blade Runner: The Final Cut

Hey everybody, this is the first in looooong series of movie reviews of whatever I order off of Netflix. As a warning, every one of these reviews will by nature have massive spoilers.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut

You know, as I said earlier, these are mostly reviews of movies that I get off of Netflix. Now you might say, "Well, if you choose what you order, you would choose good movies, right?" Well yes. Yes I would. But sometimes I get surprised by a movie that is so awful… Continue

Alien 5.....minus the aliens?

We’ve heard talk several times of another Alien movie being tossed around - an idea that sounds pretty unappealing after we’ve seen how well the nemesis has developed over the course of the Alien vs. Predator flicks. About the only thing that would make me interested in another chapter of the extraterrestrial terror would be the return of the other staple for the franchise - Sigourney Weaver as Ripley.

Despite the character’s death in… Continue

Body of Lies: An intelligent movie that will keep you interested

Based on Washington Post columnist David Ignatius? 2007 novel, Body of Lies tells the story of a CIA operative, Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio), who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan but he must first win the backing of his CIA superior, veteran Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe). Throughout the movie Ferris will question how far he can really trust these men without putting his entire operation ? and his life ? on the line. It is a non-stop action… Continue

Gladiator vs 300: Which one do you like more?

I know it seems like the wrong kind of question to ask, especially when Halloween is coming up, but which one did you like more? For me, it was Gladiator. I love both of these films but I thought Gladiator had more accuracy and a much more deeper story. Still, which one?
