Before you ask, yes I know this movie came out in theaters awhile back. However, after seeing it today and since it just came out on DVD, I wanted to give my thoughts on the film in celebration of this being release on DVD. NowWith that out of the way, enough chit chat, on to the review.
Superhero movies have always been a popular genre especially in recent years. Many of them are hits such as The Dark Knight, and The Incredibles, quite a few…
Once again a slurry of new trailers have been released to satiate your appetite until the official summer season begins. This time there are films of a much darker tone with demons, Frankenstein monsters, suicide attempts, and the struggle of a media empire.
Frank D'Arbo (Rain Wilson) has lived a screwed up life. He lived his life believeing that all if his days are terrible except for the 2 days that he will always remember as the perfect day of his life which is him being married to his wife, Sarah Hegeland (Live Tyler) (Yeah, if that was me i would remember that as a perefect day too) and the day he was thanked by an officer. But he knew that he is definetly losing his wife. His wife is…

For some, the major success and mastery behind The Dark Knight all but sealed the deal for many, while fans of Nolan’s work Memento have been looking for another great mind-bender from him for years now. As
for me, I belong to the third group, the ones who are sick and tired…
It’s common knowledge that we’ve been plagued this summer with films that range from uneventful to downright awful (with the exception of two or three), which couldn’t have been a better time for Christopher Nolan to release his newest, most original film he’s made to date,…

Okay, the Daredevil: Born Again story is probably the best of the character's career. It's so simple and complex at the same time, and made a lot of new ground for the character, and comic books in general.
Basically, the book is between Matt Murdock and the Kingpin, as the two up the any every issue as the Kingpin slowly places plan after… Continue

In watching this film, It never occurred to me that this was Drew Barrymore's debut as a film director. She comes off as a pro with this film right from the start. The film is a great debut by Barrymore. I wasn't too interested in this film's subject matter, but the fact that Ellen Page was starring in this made me take a second look at it. I thought that the film could be good to ok, but I didn't expect to end up actually going for the ride and… Continue
I don't normally write reviews, so I can't exactly say i'm deviating from the usual formula, but with a film so seemingly geared towards a particular audience like this, you can't give a straight forward, "regular" review that will satisfy everyone.
So I will split it up into sections based on the "types" of people who will see this movie. These will be based off common sense, and my friends who came with me to see the movie.
