If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Here's my opinion on this game. Is it at all different? Does it matter!

From what they originally showed of Rayman Legends it just looked like they took the exact same engine used for Rayman Origins and put in some new levels. Now that we are getting closer to the game's official (though not original) release date I'm actually starting to see how this is a entirely new game. Rayman Origins had a fantastic 2D art style that flowed really well…Continue

Early this morning the UK retailer Tesco made a post on their online store advertising and providing a cover art for the next installment of the immensely popular Call of Duty franchise. The post on their site has already been taken down, but it was too late. Sites all over the story are reporting that the next game will be titled 'Call of…Continue
The 'Tales' franchise has always seem to coast by other popular JRPGs on the name alone. While other big series such as Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem have to constantly upgrade their graphics or change up the combat system, Tales just keeps on trucking with the same level of graphics used on the PS2. The new entry in the series, 'Tales of Xillia' looks to be continuing that trend. However the series continues to have quite the following and is still selling a solid number of copies. From what…Continue

We are only in April, and yet this was easily one of the most anticipated games of 2013. Countless reviews have been written praising 2K's latest game, and even more articles have discussed the ending and mechanics throughout the story. It almost seems silly for me to add another review to the pile but hey, nothing beats a good honest opinion. I'll just give my thoughts and…Continue
Yesterday morning Rockstar released a bevy of new screenshots for their highly anticipated fifth numbered iteration in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. With these screens you get a pretty good idea of all the various locations you will get to traverse in GTA V. Wow, Rockstar really knows how to build up expectations and still be able to blow those out of the water (quite literally in this sense). Not only will we be able to fly planes again but we can also scuba dive? Who knows what mysteries…Continue

That was unexpected. Just a couple of hours ago Hideo Kojima himself confirmed at GDC that The Phantom Pain was in fact Metal Gear Solid V. The trailer has combined footage from The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes trailers that were both shown last year as well as some new footage. I have never played a Metal Gear game but the story fascinates me. To the best of my knowledge I thought that Kojima had said that Solid Snake's story was done. So it was a little confusing to see someone looking…Continue
If you can say on thing about Sony is that they are willing to try new things. Recently Valve announced a new program for their Steam service called, "Steam Early Access" that allows players to…Continue

I beat the Jak and Daxter HD Collection a long time ago and its a good refresher on whats going on in the story and how good the games were a few years ago. Nothing less the collection is great for fans of the series and I strongly suggest playing the games with an HDMI cable connected to your…Continue

A new trailer for the long awaited sequel to the sleeper hit Metro 2033 has come out today. This trailer focuses on the more human side of what has been going on for the last survivors of a post-nuclear war Russia. Nothing is shown of the monsters that had inhabited the over world as well as the sewers from the last game. Metro 2033 was a game I remember seeing and being interested in before it came out, but when it did it just kind of fell off the radar. It wasn't until maybe two years…Continue

The trailer for Suda 51's new game has been out for a while now, but only in Japanese with English subtitles. Today we finally got a trailer that has voice actors speaking in English. Killer is Dead looks to be quite the experience. An almost neo-noir story combined with some hardcore sci-fi and magic maybe? You never can tell what you're getting into with Suda 51. I just finished…Continue

My first new videogame to play for 2013 and wow, did this cause a few tangled undergarments among the masses on the Interweb. Even before the demo had been released, people were complaining that it was the end of the series as we knew it, and scorned Ninja Theory for even thinking about making a new version of the classic PS2 series. But upon first impressions, we…Continue
You know, sometimes things just happen at the same time that are just wonderful to behold. In this case, it was watching the brilliant Loading Bar playthrough for this title, and then discovering it was completely free on Playstation Plus... just the screenshots alone had me excited so I eagerly finished the…Continue

Time to do something a little different for this blog entry, and to take a look at a recently released PSN title. This was offered for free to Playstation Plus subscribers as part of the "Instant Game Collection" and is.... strange to say the least.
In essence, it is a cross-screen space shooter combined with a…Continue

I’ve been reluctant to actually write a game review for several reasons, mainly because I seldom play games all the way through. On top of that, I have the attention span of a gold fish and if a game becomes too repetitive or simply becomes uninteresting I’m not likely to finish it. Compounding this, I’ve become reluctant to purchase any new games following the utter disappointment that was Street Fighter X Tekken. But after…Continue

DLC details for the PS3 port of Skyrim have been reported as, maybe, never coming out!
Imagine my frustration, and others who bought Skyrim for the PS3.
