Ryse Re-Announced for Xbox One
Two years ago at E3 Crytek took the stage to announce a new Kinect controlled first person fighting game called Ryse. We didn't get much in the way of gameplay other than a short clip which showed somebody waving their arms and legs around like a epileptic person who just saw that one banned episode of…

That EA Sports Video Was Pre-Rendered
During the Xbox One presentation yesterday there was one thing that was noticeably lacking for a presentation of a gaming console, games. Of the six games that were shown four of them were EA Sports titles. EA got to take the main stage to show off their new "Ignite" engine that all of their sports titles would be running on for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. What was shown was a video (see below) highlighting what the engine will look like and how it will play. However now it has come out…

Xbox One Will Not Allow Independent Self Publishing
If one was to take a look over at the "Indie games" section of Xbox Live Arcade what you would find there is..... not ideal. While among the rubble you can find the select few games that are worth your time such as, I Made a Game With Zombies in It!, and Cthulhu Saves the World. There are…

List of Confirmed Games for Xbox One
The main thing many people were quick and adamant to mention following the Xbox One press event was a lack of game announcements. While Microsoft did say that they would be waiting until E3 to focus on…

CoD: Ghosts - Screenshots
Along with the Xbox One announcement Microsoft made earlier today we also got a short look at the upcoming game Call of Duty: Ghosts. There was a small bit of gameplay shown but no one seems to have posted it to Youtube at the moment. So for now you can look at these screenshots!... Lackluster I know but what can you really expect from another game by Infinity Ward? Maybe they could…

A quick talk about the XBox One, and Where Things Stand
Welcome one and all, to a very special episode of my blog posts. Usually I keep myself to just reviews, but as I am sure you all have seen today, Microsoft revealed their next generation console to the world. And the reception has been... certainly not what they hoped for at all. In fact, so much so that it could well have damaged the sale potential…

Microsoft's Next Console is... Xbox One
Today at their live streamed event Microsoft officially announced their new console, Xbox One. Very little was shown regarding games but we did get an actual look at the console and what specs it would be running on. Batman: Arkham Origins - Full Trailer and Screenshots
Hell. Fucking. Yes. Everyone flipped out with excitement when the CGI trailer for Arkham City was shown even though it was just a pre rendered video. This new one they have done for Arkham Origins blows that one out of the water. Pretty smart move releasing this on the same day that it was announced that…

ONE PIECE FILM: Z (e-Review)

What Makes One The Sexiest Man Alive?
As some of you may or may not be aware, Channing Tatum has been selected as People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for the year of 2012. It's fair to say that Tatum has been met with both praise and criticism for landing such a place in Hollywood's consciousness. Whether it's people who think that Ryan Gosling was once…

My Dream Team: One Fan's Idea for the Cast of a Justice League Movie
Joe Manganiello as Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman. Okay, take away the beard and then you have an excellent person for Superman in a Justice League movie. Not only has he stated that he wanted to play Superman really badly in the upcoming Man of…

Avatar: The Legend of Korra review - Book One, Episode 8 (When Extremes Meet)
Korra returns after its... unusual week off from the TV screens. (seriously, for that holiday??) But in that time, I took the chance to re-watch the entire Legend of Aang show, hoping that it'll keep me up to track with the continuity and, understand the episodes for reviewing better. Time to test the metal of the theory now.
In the aftermath…

Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book One, Episode 7 (The Aftermath)
A little late on this review, due to some family-related festivities over the weekend. But the extra long wait was well worth it, as the series continues to build upon the story and characters. And along the way, throw in some surprises as well. I have nothing to waffle on about this week, so I'll go right into the review.
Just as the title…

Now I'm not a fan of all Judd Apatow's films. I liked Superbad (2007) and loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) with a passion. Then there are his latest films that I hate,…

I'm tired of Nicholas Sparks. It's not the monotonous formulaic writing or even his inability to tell a good romanticized story. No, the reason I'm distressed and over my limit is his complete and utter lack of substance. Sparks can't write fleshed out characters if he wanted to. He makes the ending of Stephen…

Avatar: The Legend of Korra review - Book One, Episodes 1 & 2
Yes indeed, I've chosen to follow and write reviews on the follow-up series to Avatar: The Last Airbender. And since today is the official airing of the openers (they have been on the official website for a while now) it seems fitting to begin here and cover them on a weekly basis. This series has been a long time in the pipeline, and…
