A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)

Remakes are bound to happen nowadays. Whether you're a fan of them or not, you can't stop them from happening. I for one grew up to most of these original movies that are being remade and I've now accepted it. They're were quite a few remakes especially for horror movies that I already saw and…

Alexander's Top 5 Movies to watch on/around Halloween

Happy Halloween Spill!!!

It probably would've been smarter to post this ahead of time, but since it is Halloween I thought it would be cool to list 5 movies that I like to watch around this time and to see if you agree with me or not. Keep in mind that this is a list of films I've seen, not a list of general films (for example, I haven't seen Psycho, The Exorcist, John Carpenters The Thing, or any of the Paranormal Activity films) The list will also…

A Review of A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)

I'll start out by getting the obvious out of the way first; I am a big fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, have been for a while now. While my favorite of the old school slashers is still Michael Myers, I still find Freddy to be one of the coolest, creepiest, and funniest villain of recent memory, able to make jokes of things others would be too timid to joke about in films (After all, in Freddy Vs Jason he did call a black woman 'Dark meat'. Who get's away with that?! Freddy… Continue

Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 Movie Review

These remakes are getting worse and worse. This is the same old bullshit we have seen a million times before. It is dull, boring and a waste of time. How do you take horror classic, make it exactly the same exept higher quality film and still make it bad. The Script is bad and the actors are dull. It is not scary. All it has is a bunch of jump scares which doesn't count. The makeup is awful and the actor playing Freddy is not Robert…

A Nightmare on Elm Street Review

I wasn't too excited for the remake of the classic horror A Nightmare on Elm Street. The first trailer didn't really grab my attention, but the second trailer was a lot better and made me think that the movie had potential. Also, I was looking forward to seeing Jackie Earle Haley's portrayal of horror icon Freddy Krueger. Now the only good thing in this movie, is him. He gives a fine performance as Freddy. He's no Robert Englund, but he still did a good job, even though he was…

What a Fucking Nightmare- A Review of NOES (2010)

Let’s face the essential fact that Freddy Kruger is one of the most well-known cinematic pop culture icons EVER. As a matter of fact, the first film that ever saw, and it still gives me scares to this day, was the original Wes Craven classic. Now when word reached my ear that Platinum Dunes—Michael Bay’s production company—would be slated to develop and release the film under the New Line Studio’s banner, I was really upset. After a…

Is A Nightmare On Elm Street really a Masterpiece?

Now that the reboot of A Nightmare On Elm Street is on the way. I have been rewatching the original on Blu-ray and finally paid attention to it. Majority of people consider this film to be a cinematic horror masterpiece, but the film has so many plot holes; it makes Transformers 2 look like Avatar! Even though I personally love Transformers 2. Freddy fans will protect the film as hard as they can but the faults are plain to see to any…

What Ever Happened to That Nice Boy Freddy Krueger?

Horror films get a bad rap. The genre is rarely taken seriously. After all, how many Oscars have been given to horror films? On the other hand - how many other genres have created such diehard fan bases or given a new meaning to the word sequel? There is a reason we aren’t on “Gone with the Wind XII – Rhett vs. Captain Von Trapp – This time it’s personal.”

Horror films are more than good bloody fun. They could save our lives. Norman Bates taught us that it is important to lock the… Continue

FREDDY PREQUEL: BEFORE THE NIGHTMARE

With all the Horror remakes such as My Bloody Valentine, Jason (Friday the 13th), Texas Chainsaw Massacreand Mike Myers Halloween now we will get a new Freddy film but in this case no matter what is done there will be only ONE true

Freddy Kruger, Robert Englund.

So here is my take on what should be done because we all know by now that there is a new Nightmare on Elm Street on that way and anyone who is still in denial… Continue

The Last House on The Left Remake Trailer UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 1972, Wes Craven and Sean S. Cunningham made a very disturbing movie called "The Last House on The Left". A movie with the directors from 2 popular franchises Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street" and Cunningham's Friday the 13th". These guys made a movie that's not really considered as an "instant classic" cause of how disturbing this movie was. It was so disturbing that they were even disturbed of what they did!

In 2009,ROGUE Pictures will release a remake… Continue
