First Trailer For Horror Thriller '6 Souls'

It's not always the best sign when your first inkling that a new horror movie exists comes less than two months before its release. That is certainly the case with '6 Souls.' I hadn't heard anything about this horror thriller starring Julianne Moore and …

Could Man of Steel Break the Superman Curse?

Let's face it, Superman is in a horrible place in today's society. He might be the original superhero and the classic example of what superheroes can be but like Captain America's deal in The Avengers, things have changed in the seventy or seventy-five years that have past us by as a…

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the rom-dramedy 'Crazy, Stupid, Love'. The Hunchback of Notre Dame: An Instant Classic

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9d/Hunchbackposter.jpg

Despite it’s classic name and high reputation within both animation and film in general, Walt Disney Pictures is a studio that has been notorious in the past for simply recycling the same formula from film

to film. Sure, there may be great songs, good animation, and even cool

characters but more often that not, Disney is quick to pull out its

obvious pick of used-up tricks: damsels in distress, idyllic…

"The Kids Are All Right" might help gay marriage discussions

Originally posted on Moniqueblog

The indie film The Kids Are All Right, which is coming out July 9, might be one of the stepping stones toward people becoming more at ease with gay marriage and gay families, says Sean Griffin, associate professor and chair of cinema-tv from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. "The movie might help with the national discussion about gay marriage... it's less scandalous to… Continue

The Riflemans Top Ten Movies of the Decade (first blog post)

Hello everyone, I'm the GumGumRifleman. Now while I am a major fan of Anime, I am also a huge fan of movies and TV. I have always liked to see movies ever since I was a little kid watching Jurassic Park. While I have been through two decades, one of them I was too young to really watch anything and too young to really right anything about movies yet. But I have been wanting to do this for quite a while and now I finally can. This decade brought us alot of amazing movies. Some small, some big… Continue

Last Year In Film: The Hottie And The Nottie

I can’t think of many films that have actually made feel physically ill. I can watch the most horrific scenes of gore-laden violence and not feel sick. There are times however that something pushes me over the edge and makes me feel a little bit woozy. One scene that sticks out in particular is the scene in The Fly when Jeff Goldblum is pulling out his finger nails. There, I just dry heaved whilst thinking and writing about it. Thankfully it’s just one scene. The problem is, you see, I have a… Continue

Michael Moore: Agent of the Right (Wing)

The problem with Michael Moore, is that he tries to pass himself off as Liberal. This is unfortunate, because if he truly was one, he’d either shut his mouth, or take some more time to explain his reasoning.

For the few that don’t know, Michael Moore is one of the most famous documentary filmmakers in the world. Starting with his big hit Roger & Me, Moore went on to gain international attention with his award winning… Continue
