Green Lantern: What Went Wrong

To start this article off, I think I should admit my bias, I’m a Green Lantern fan.  I’m not a fanatic.  I recognize that there needs to be major changes from the source material when adapting it to film.  The question is, will those changes help or hinder the character’s appeal to a mass…

Top 10 Greatest Mark Hamill Joker Moments

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070715122912/dcanimated/images/c/c6/Jokerrotj.jpg

With the release of Batman: The Animated Series, a turning-point began in the career of Mark Hamill, the actor made famous for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy. Forced into a stagnant position due to typecasting, Hamill had to face the problem that many actors before him who have been genre typecast:

breaking it. Unlike many of those before him, Hamill found a very novel

way to do…

Kick-Ass: Not So Much

Going into this film, I knew nothing about the original source material for the film, which was a comic book of the same name written by Mark Millar (more famous for working on the ‘Civil War’ storyline in

Marvel Comics a few years back) and had only seen a couple of the

trailers for the film, which didn’t really describe the storyline of

the film that well. With what I had seen however, the…

Kick-Ass: Why I prefer the movie over the comic (PLOT PRETTY MUCH SPOILED - BEWARE!)

If you keep in touch with either the cinema or comic world (and, chances are, if you're checking this site, you follow both), you don't need me to tell you what Kick-Ass is, but if you do, here is the basic plot: a bored teenager, Dave Lizewski, a regular guy and comic book geek, wondered why there were no real-life superheroes ("Why do people prefer to get an average job that they hate rather than helping their fellow citizen?" if something you've probably asked…

Kick Ass Review

Alright I'm just gonna be blunt here I'm not someone who buys into a lot of the hype for movies especially comic book superhero movies because I know if I let myself buy into the hype then the movie will most likely be shit. But when I saw previews of Kick Ass I couldn't help but buy into the hype I mean it was a Mark Millar adaptation that seemed faithful to the source material unlike the movie Wanted where they just took a huge shit on the source material and called it a movie.

Now… Continue

Ito's Kick-Ass Review

Man talk about a movie that lives up to its name. I'm back and I’m talking about the movie Kick-Ass(Duh), witch I’m going to flat out say right now is not only my favorite movie of the year(so far), its my favorite movie Period and the movie that held that title before was The Dark Knight, so that means I love this film to no end. I…

Kick Ass Review: Don't Believe The Hype

I finished watching Kick Ass roughly an hour ago, so believe me when I tell you it's fresh in my mind. You, like myself, will have read at least a couple of reviews on here and elsewhere (Empire.com has one) praising the film. Frankly I haven't heard a bad thing said about it to be honest. Well, except about the ending being a bit much, but otherwise it's praised as being the new king of comic book movies.

Well, things are going to be a little different around here. Here's my review of… Continue
