Is Leonard Nimoy Joining 'Star Trek 2' Afterall?

J.J. Abrams' upcoming sequel to his 2009 'Star Trek' reboot is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated movies of 2013. Getting the whole cast…

Jennifer Aniston & Dennis Quaid To Appear In 'Jackie Brown' Prequel?

In case you hadn't heard, Quentin Tarantino's 'Jackie Brown' is getting a prequel. Well, to be more accurate, a big screen adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 'The Switch' is in the works. Elmore Leonard's novel…

'Mission: Impossible 5' A Possibility

With 'Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol' already making what analysts refer to as "a metric crap-ton of money" at the box office since its release earlier this month, it's no gigantic leap in logic to assume…

Gone Dark

With the 4th of July weekend upon us, what better way to celebrate than to go to the movies and watch stuff get blowed up real good? There's isn't, so that's what I did. Yesterday, my wife and I took in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The Paramount film, rated PG-13, stars Shia LaBoeuf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whitely,… Continue

Live Long and Transform

I was on the fence about trying to watch Transformers: Dark of the Moon without casting a critical eye like I did after watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. That is, until I read this:

Here is some news that should make Transformers: Dark of the Moon live long and prosper in the hearts of sci-fi fans.

Mr. Spock himself, Leonard…

Spock on Fringe?

anyone else here that they are thinking about giving leonard nemoy back on fringe. What do you guys think. Honestly im not a trekkie but i have seen some of Leonard Nemoys acting and it is very good if you ask me just being able to show up in a reboot of his old franchise and be incorparated in it was just awesome. I also think it would save fringe from the friday death slot. I think it would be very good IF he got the job and im rooting for him to get it. If you are wondering where i heard… Continue

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Review

Ladies and gentlemen, we have finally approached the end, not of the Star Trek film franchise, but of the Star Trek film trilogy that was begun by Wrath of Khan and continued by The Search for Spock. It’s no

lie that this film had a lot of pressure on it from the studios to

succeed for a number of reasons. For one thing, despite the financial

success of The Search for…

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

The year was 1984, and with the end of the original Star Wars trilogy occurring a year earlier with Return of the Jedi, a large host of science-fiction films were able to take the spotlight. Classic hits

such as 1984, Firestarter, The Last Starfighter, Starman, and The

Terminator were among these films to take the center-stage of that

genre. Also among them is the third…

Star Trek - Review

Star Trek Review

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 95%

My rating: Full Price!!

I have always been a Star Wars fan. It was concise, didn’t boggle your mind with science, delivered much more interesting powers, and had a struggle, a real struggle, running through the series. Star Trek was always a lesser product, like a dog compared to a baby; sure the dog is lovely but the baby’s your child for Christ’s sake. I liked The… Continue

The Transformers Movie: The One That Made Fanboys Cry and Piggybanks Shatter

When I saw the first Michael Bay Transformers movie back in 2007, I talked with a friend of mine who had seen the movie as well and I tried to gauge his reaction. Personally, I enjoyed the movie and was only angry about the missing climactic showdown between Optimus Prime and Megatron that I had so desired. This also got my friend angry along with the majority of the movie as a whole, which puzzled me. I asked him why, and that started a… Continue

Star Trek Review

Four weeks late, but here's my Star Trek review.

Synopsis:

Figured we all know the story after four weeks, if not before the movie came out, but here's the story.

In the first contiuum, Spock promised to save Romulus from a supernova, but fails, and Nero, one of the last Romulans, gets sent back in time by the black hole created to stop the supernova. When he is sent back, he destroys the ship carrying James T. Kirk's parents, killing Kirk's… Continue
