Metro: Last Light - Launch Trailer
Now that's how you do a trailer. A combination of gameplay and cut scenes has rarely proved the wrong rout to take in the past. The visuals used in this trailer are quite spectacular, and a bit jarring. However you shouldn't really expect a trailer for a game about a post nuclear apocalypse Russia where people are living underground and have to fight each other and mutants for survival to be all sunshine and lollipops. So far this game is getting pretty great reviews all around, but I…

Todays local News.
My 6 year old nephew is coming and I thought of letting him watch The Indy Jones Trilogy. because there is nothing at my local theater to watch but, "Lincoln". So I go to the rental shop to get all 3.
I found "Raiders" and "Temple of Doom" really quickly but, "The Last Crusade" is not there. (And btw that other junk had 4 fucking copies including 2 Blu-ray's) . I ask the clerk who seemed like he wasn't busy. Where is "The Last Crusade". and he checks the machine (Notice he works at a…

Metro: Last Light 'Ranger Survival Guide Chapter 2: Enemy Danger' Trailer
Alright, ALRIGHT! You don't have to keep attempting to persuade me with these trailers anymore. I'm sold. The world of the Metro games looks to be a fun and intense shooter that combines shooting mutants and stealth mechanics. If that assemblance of words didn't tickle your fancy then how about this, Russian Nazis. Right? You would think that after WWII any sort of imitation to the German fascist regime would never surface in Russia of all places, even in a nuclear apocalypse. I do enjoy…

Metro: Last Light 'Ranger Survival Guide' Trailer
If these trailers for Metro: Last Light are any indication on the quality of this series then I am finding less and less reasons to not go back and play the first one. The last trailer we saw related to the story you would be following in the game. This new trailer gives you an idea of the world you will be able to move around in. Art design and concepts of this bleak and hostile world are really something to be admired. Metro kind of reminds me of the Fallout games only taking place a…

Metro: Last Light "Destiny" Trailer
A new trailer for the long awaited sequel to the sleeper hit Metro 2033 has come out today. This trailer focuses on the more human side of what has been going on for the last survivors of a post-nuclear war Russia. Nothing is shown of the monsters that had inhabited the over world as well as the sewers from the last game. Metro 2033 was a game I remember seeing and being interested in before it came out, but when it did it just kind of fell off the radar. It wasn't until maybe two years…

After so much hullabaloo over the rights and execution of the intellectual property "Y The Last Man" its refreshing to see at least that new Hollywood filmmakers like Special-Effects Supervisor Christian Cardona are pursuing better storytelling than the latest Michael Bay Macho-ejaculate.…

OLD REVIEW: 'THE LAST AIRBENDER' Movie Review
Added by Deadly Dr Jay on June 13, 2012 at 10:54pm — 3 Comments
I'm tired of Nicholas Sparks. It's not the monotonous formulaic writing or even his inability to tell a good romanticized story. No, the reason I'm distressed and over my limit is his complete and utter lack of substance. Sparks can't write fleshed out characters if he wanted to. He makes the ending of Stephen…

When the news first broke that a new Avatar: The Last Airbender television series would be airing, I didn’t know what to think besides to be skeptical. So that’s what I did. I sat quietly in my corner, thinking it over while crying over Shyamalan’s detestable piece of garbage he gave us…

The Top 10 Movies I Saw in 2011
DISCLAIMER: I would like to say that due to my unfortunate location and inability to see so many of the other big movies that came out this year due to time or place, these are the movies that I've seen this year and that I've enjoyed the most and were released this year.
10. Super 8. Despite the ending being a bit of a whimper, I must admit that this movie was such a great thrill ride of a mystery that pays a beautiful tribute to the classic Spielberg films…
