The Vow Review

With all of the strikes that the film has against it from its very conception, it still manages to surprise the most cynical man of romantic films. It has Channing Tatum in it, who is clearly not the best actor working in Hollywood. The marketing campaign for this film is marketing it like a Nicholas Sparks movie when it's not actually based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks. It's "inspired or based on true events" even though the various details between the real life story and the film's…

First Trailer For Tarsem Singh's 'Mirror, Mirror'

Recently, the first trailer for 'Snow White and the Huntsman' debuted online. It gave us the sense that the classic Snow White story would be getting a slightly darker, more action-heavy treatment. But it wasn't the only new Snow White movie in the works.…

Superhero Stories Assemble! 'Captain America' Trailer, 'The Avengers' Update, and More!

"And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when several superhero stories found themselves united in a single article. On that day, 'Superhero Stories' was born - to contain the film and TV news no single blog post could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now...

Valentine's Day Trailer

Valentine's Day staring Julia Roberts and her doppelganger 18-year-old niece, Emma. Bradley Cooper plays Julia's love interest who happens to be gay. Also features Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, Jennifer Garner, Jamie Foxx, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Swift, Queen Latifah, Shirley MacLaine, Jessica Biel and George Lopez.

*Sigh* I guess a movie about the single women who aren't close to slitting their wrists every Valentine's Day is too much to… Continue

TOP 10 BEST FILMS OF THE SUMMER

I consider this summerto be a summerof ups and downs. For most people downs, but there were good and great films this year. It seems the big budget overly hyped films were the let downs. This list is to reconize the best of this summer.

10. Public Enemies Rating: Matinee

Of all films this summer this one seemed the most real to me. The HD style, and the building the costumes all seemed very real to…

Cobra Commander vs. Julia Childs -- Box Office Predictions for this Weekend

Last weekend proved to be something of a dissapointment at the box office, with Judd Apatow's lastest flick, Funny People, proving to be underwhelming with both critics and audiences, grossing $22.6 million, far below Apatow's previous flick, Knocked Up, intake of 30 million a few years back. The whole weekend proved to be just as underwhelming, with the total box office intake decreasing 18% from last week. Hopefully, this weekend will prove to change the dry spill with the latest summer… Continue

Two Films For Easter

First off let me just say, to those of you who are lactose intolerant, you have me deepest sympathies. Happy Easter to the rest on Spill. I hope you get to stuff yourself with chocolate.

For some of you Easter is a religious time. For others it's just an excuse to indulge that sweet, sweet tooth. Some believe that it's just a Hallmark holiday. Most people fit into these three categories. However, there is another minor… Continue
