As much as I didn't love the first 'Expendables,' the irrepressible geek child in me can't help but get excited about the release of 'Expendables 2.' I honestly don't care if it's garbage, having even more of my action movie heroes in one film together is a dream come true. Today, the first trailer for…
The 1980s was a very special time and place to be apart of. It was full of joy and wonder….well not really. It did however give birth to the action movie genre. Movies filled with big explosions, high body counts, and classic one-liners. Now a days these movies are all but extinct, The Expendables hopes to change that.
Probably one of the most anticipated movies of the summer (for me anyways). The…
This is one of those films that have been hyped to all hell, and I must admit that I have not experienced immunity to it. As a fan of action films and the icons within the genre, I found myself anticipating this film heavily, particularly because of its promise to be a tribute to everything we love about action movies. The giant explosions, extreme martial arts, comic badassery, and some one-liners
thrown in for good…
Chen Zhen (Jet Li) returns to China from studying abroad when he hears news that his master has died in a match with a Japanese martial artist. Suspecting foul play he investigates his master’s death and, upon discovering his master had been poisoned, swears to bring those responsible to justice.
I just got done listening to A Couple of Cold Ones, and… Continue
This summer movie season for me was a hit and miss for me. Though there were a few movies I did enjoy, this summer movie season was nothing short of mediocre. Transformers 2 was enjoyable, Star Trek was amazing, District 9 was orgasmic, and G.I. JOE, just flat-out blew a big fat one. Usually every summer there has been one movie that I cannot wait to come out. And sad to say, besides District 9 and Star Trek, nothing this summer really peaked my interest. With the 2009 summer movie season… Continue

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Forest Whitaker is in negotiations to join the cast of 'The Expendables'. Whitaker would play the CIA liaison for a group of mercenaries (played by Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Jason Statham) who are clandestinely sent to South America to overthrow a dictator.
The Forbidden Kingdom get together the two most representative actors of martial arts movies like Jackie Chan and Jet Li. The result of this makes a very entertaining and enjoyable movie with magic, fantasy, lots of action, very good comedy and adventure. Its like mixing a Hollywood blockbuster with spectacular special effects with a traditional Chinese kung-fu movie having as a result a mind blowing film. They bring some of the Chinese myths to form a very original story and a very interesting… Continue

The Mummy 3 follows the same formula as the previous two. With tons of action and adventure, very good sense of humor, a story of magic and fantasy, excellent CGI and awesome special effects. The plot begins when Alex O'Connell (Luke Ford) found the tomb of China Dragon Emperor (Jet LI), an evil Chinese general pretends to bring the Emperor back to life and rule the world. It is Rick O'Connell (Fraser) and Evie O'Connell (Bello) to stop him and bring things to normal. But not everything is as… Continue
How Many Mummies Can This Family Bring Back From The Dead?
Films these days really seem to favor the smallest of probabilities. For instance, how many times can John McClain really battle terrorists and survive. How many times can Indiana Jones go on his wild adventures and come out of the smoke still standing. How many times can Rick O'Connell and his family resurrect a Mummy from its slumber?...Well three times it… Continue

This third installment in the series is not at all worth watching. The plot to this is that Jet Li plays a Chinese Emperor, who tries to take over the world. His general finds a women who can give him immortality, but before the Emperor has a chance to make a move on the woman, it is revealed that the general is in love with the woman. The Emperor kills the general. Then the woman puts a curse on him and his army, they turn to crap and become statues.… Continue
Today, I thought that I would put up a review that was sparked over from a trailer I saw. Now, in the States, this film has been out for months now but it has just been released in the UK... Well, not really. I got to see the UK Premiere of this awesome film and I thought I put my two cents on this updated twist on the classic Kung Fu genre... plus it has 2 icons of cinema in it... what is left to say. So here is the Jet Li/Jackie Chan Package Film The Forbidden…Continue
You know what. I don't know what to say about this movie....Oh yeah I do. It's some bullshit.
This is not a matrial arts movie. I go to my boyfriends martial arts class and see real martial arts.
First...walking thur the theater they ask if I had a cell phone. I said yes, and the woman replied, "you have to put it in your car there won't let you in." Really ok, I get it people recording the movie, so I run to my car to put my cell phone and my sisters cell phone in the… Continue
