First Trailer For 'The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones'

By and large, I'm getting pretty sick of the rash of young adult supernatural stories that have sprung up in the wake of 'Twilight.' And truth be told, when I heard about 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,' that is precisely what I thought it would be. Based on a series of novels by…

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Review

Despite some of the things that people have said about this movie, this is actually a movie that is worthy of being a sequel to the last Sherlock Holmes! Although it may be worthy of the last film, is it superior or is it another entertaining yet slightly disappointing continuation of the previous story and pre-existing characters?

This time around, fans of Holmes & Watson's (Robert Downey Jr & Jude Law respectively) adventures will be pleased to know that we get…

New Trailer for 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'

Sherlock Holmes will meet and battle his arch rival Prof. Moriarty this December in 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.' This new trailer, which is quite lengthy, seems to emphasize that contentious relationship and the stakes of their rivalry far better than did the first trailer. Robert Downey Jr. and…

WISHFUL DRINKING (DVD)

There's no question that Carrie Fisher had a hard time of it after Star Wars. Her life was a parade of bad decisions and drug /alcohol abuse. Fisher's form of…

Random Review: Thoughts on "Requiem For A Dream"

So every Saturday Night for me is "Pizza and a movie" night. Tonight, for some reason I decided I wanted to see "Requiem For a Dream." I've no idea why, but I had to see it, and I've just finished.

First and foremost ... WHAT THE FUCK?! Now, let me be clear, I mean that in a *good* way. I felt like Darren Aronofsky's (and kudos to you for doing this sir) film took my brain, put it in a blender, set the blender to "puree" and let it run for two… Continue

Gentlemen Broncos REVIEW!

In walking into this screening, I wasn't particularly too excited to see this. I tried to distance myself for my personal hatred towards Jared Hess. I don't think Napoleon Dynamite was one of the funniest films of this generation, I thought it was painfully boring at times. I thought Nacho Libre was a bit funnier, but still pretty bland and boring. Now comes to this. I heard about what kind of film this was, and noticed the talent attached behind it.… Continue

Chapter 27 DVD Review

Alright...Chapter 27 is a movie depicting Mark David Chapman. Well that's what it was supposed to be. It ended up just being a showcase of the extra 70 pounds that Jared Leto gained for the role. There were actual closeups of Leto's stomach thrown in for no other reason but to show the world that he is very serious about his role and therefore gained weight for it.

This is a clausterphobic movie that centers solely on Chapman wandering around New York and shifting manically from… Continue
