My 6 year old nephew is coming and I thought of letting him watch The Indy Jones Trilogy. because there is nothing at my local theater to watch but, "Lincoln". So I go to the rental shop to get all 3.
I found "Raiders" and "Temple of Doom" really quickly but, "The Last Crusade" is not there. (And btw that other junk had 4 fucking copies including 2 Blu-ray's) . I ask the clerk who seemed like he wasn't busy. Where is "The Last Crusade". and he checks the machine (Notice he works at a…

In a recent Let's Do This someone asked the question why the third movie in so many movie series suck and if they can think of any good ones. And the guys gave a good answer as to why these 3rd films suck; its because there is no story. The original inspiration for the movie tends to only be found in the first and sometimes second movie. The third one is usually forced and the soul of the movie is usually dead by that time. Then the guys themselves could not think of any movies third in a…

One of the great things about being an action movie buff is that you can see beyond the silliness, implausibility, mindless violence, and bad one liners in these movies. You can actually see a good story if you focus pretty hard and remember one simple thing, they’re just movies. The basic premise of any movie is to move the audience away from reality and allow them to explore the depths of their imaginations. Of course the ridiculous over the top action movies require a lot more imagination…

This is my Favorite Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Review, from the World's Finest DVD Report

by Zach Demeter
It was years in the making and it seemed that the day would never come. Script rumors swirled and when quizzed about it, Lucas, Spielberg and Ford all noted that they were still working on it. Production finally began and fans eagerly awaited the trailer to witness just what the crew behind the…

Sometimes while watching a flick, there's a moment that is so jarringly stupid, so breathtakingly ridiculous that it throws you out of the movie, leaving you either befuddled or chortling like a lunatic. This year, a term was coined for such a moment -- "Nuking the Fridge" -- in honor of Indiana Jones' utterly implausible escape from an atomic bomb through the crafty use of a lead-lined kitchen appliance. We've compiled a few more thoroughly silly movie moments from…

Since I hated Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull so much I thought I would do more than bitch about it and come up with my own idea for Indiana Jones:

I thought they should have keep it in the 40's or if they wanted to they could have leaked to the 50's. Nazis exist to this day so having Nazis as the main enemy would have been okay still. But have Indiana looking for the body of Hitler. Finding a body sure doesn't sound like a…

Ask Carlyle: Dear Carlyle, with Indy 4 coming out on DVD Tuesday, what do you think Lucas and Spielberg should do with the 5th movie? I for one loved 4. It’s not the best in the series but, it was great to see Harrison Ford with the hat and whip again. However I didn't care for the aliens even though it was still good. What I'm hoping for, is that now that Lucas got the aliens out of his system, and saw how many people didn't like it, he will go back to Indy going… Continue

The summer season is a time of freedom, a time of recreation, and most importantly, a time to spend $10 on a movie ticket because you're bored out of your freakin' mind. Of course the summer blockbusters all have problems (what doesn't?), but often we can look on those imperfections and still enjoy the film as a whole. However, every now and then a film has an imperfection so glaring, so unmistakable, so flat-out wrong that we can't help but gawk in disbelief at what our $10 has just supported…

In the world of film, it's really amazing how much one charecter can take. As regular people, we are annoyed enough with paying our bills, going to work or school, and just putting up with the daily problems we all face.
Can you picture how stressed these guys are?

Didn't think George Lucas would drive yet another storied franchise into the ground? Well, you thought wrong. Georgie is talking about yet another Indiana Jones. I guess with over $700 million at the box office it was expected. Let's hope he'll leave the aliens out of this one. Or maybe he'll do a cross-over movie and have
Indiana Jones and The Sith of… Continue

*Spoilers* Now that our dear professor is so old now that he probably views sex as an annoyance rather than an opprotunity, it appears to be that many people are outraged at Indiana's most recent outing in
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.
The most outright complaint is that some infer the implausibility of Indiana's stunts performed in the movie such as surviving a nuclear blast in a fridge or managing to still be alive after his boat seemingly falls not…

Here it is, a list of my top 10 film directors of all time. Although I can safely say that this list will fly under the radar of all you Spillers out there, I'm going to make it anyway.....
10) George A. Romero

Although this guy lives off the Zombie franchise, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have the original
Night Of the Living Dead, and I can't think of…

Plot: (IMDB Plot) During the Cold War, Soviet agents watch Professor Henry Jones when a young man brings him a coded message from an aged, demented colleague, Henry Oxley. Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko, the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt, to Peru. With Oxley's code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz. If Jones can deliver the skull in its rightful place, all may be well; but if Irina takes it to its…

Chase asks: Hey Carlyle whats up? I don't know if it is true but when I walked out of the new Indiana Jones flick I overheard someone saying there is already a 5th one in the works is this true??
Undetermined. For now I'm going to say no, because there is nothing official. What happened was this: during an interview at Cannes,
George Lucas responded to a question with this carefully planned…

The wait for a new Indiana Jones movie is finally over, after 20 years at last it's in theaters the latest Indy adventure and it was just as expected. A really good mix of Lucas production, Spielberg's direction, Harrison Ford again as Indiana Jones and the new addition of Shia LaBeouf makes this film a real success. A movie full of action, adventure, really good moments of humor, nice twists and really good special effects. The direction of Spielberg is splendid, I must applaud his job in this…

Review for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
After the cinematic returns of Star Wars, Terminator, Rocky, Die Hard and Rambo, it was just about time for Indiana Jones to follow. And I’m glad to say that the new film, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is a worthy addition to this legendary franchise.
The story is set in 1957, so it is a bit different in tone to the first three. As they were homage to 1930s republic serials, this one is more in tone to…

Let me start off by saying that I am a fan of the original Indian Jones films. Raiders of the Lost Ark is an absolutely flawless action/adventure film that both payed homage to the classic pulp heroes of the 30s as well as establishing the framework of future summer popcorn movies. With the success of Raiders, a sequel was obvious and in 1984 fans surprisingly got a prequel titled Temple of Doom. I'm not afraid say it, I honestly didn't like Temple of Doom. It's a shame really, because this…
