Over the last couple of years, commercials for videogames have really stepped up their, well, you know. Especially out in front of the curve are the ads for the various iterations of the 'Call of Duty' franchise. I dug the 'Modern Warfare 3' commercial with Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington and, along those…

Welcome to the latest edition of my random travels through the latest home releases. And if the title to this blog entry doesn't make you scream and run for cover, then you must have a ceramic gut for bad movies that I don't. And to which, I salute you, ladies and gents. In the red corner, we have one of the biggest financial flops in modern cinematic history,…

Walking out of my room, in which the cockroaches and the rats are at war for total supremacy, I can honestly say I wasn't expecting much from Seth MacFarlane's directorial debut, 'Ted.' I expected little more than what I saw in the trailers and anything I've seen in just about every Family Guy episode: Crass, vulgar humor that does tickle the funny bone every now and then, and is good to watch with the guys. Needless to say I held just as much breath for Ted as I did the notion that Fox…

Seth MacFarlane, the man who known from creating Family Guy, finally makes his debut in directing in his first feature length live action film, Ted. MacFarlane’s humor is the type of humor that is either loved or hated by audiences. Personally, I feel MacFarlane has been hit or miss through-out most of the years he has worked with comedy. Most of the older episodes of Family Guy are genuinely funny, and even American Dad has some really good episodes but most of recent…

Prometheus is not an Alien (1979) prequel. I had the misfortune of believing so and I fear others may as well. Now that isn't to say I couldn't differentiate the films less than a quarter of the way through. But, I fear mostly that others may not be able to do the same. Rumors and buzz…

I miss the old action films. The two-hour epics that suck you in and makes you believe in the hero. John McClane was a New York cop on the verge of divorce, but has to save his wife along with other hostages in Nakatomi Tower, in Die Hard (1988). Snake Plissken had to save the president from…

I'm not the sort of person who likes to watch entire clips of movies online before I actually see them, especially those that reveal the film's opening sequence. However, far be it from me to deprive those that enjoy viewing these clips. To wit, we offer the first five (ish) minutes of 'Lockout.' This sci-fi actioner, co-written by …

This is just a video I did for fun. After seeing this police footage on YouTube I laughed until I literally had tears streaming down my face. Needless to say I was a little inspired afterwards. I'm sure many of you have already seen it and had the same same reaction.
We'll have a video review for 'American Reunion' on Friday, but for now we hope you enjoy this short. Thanks.
