New 'Lone Ranger' Trailer

Man, Gore Verbinski sure does love action sequences. Granted, he is making an action movie so I suppose it helps, but at what point does mayhem just get to be white noise? I offer you that question as you watch this latest trailer for 'The Lone Ranger.' I'm still getting an uncomfortable …

Japanese 'Lone Ranger' Trailer Features New Footage

Still not entirely sure how I feel about Gore Verbinski's 'The Lone Ranger,' but at this point, I'm going in only with the expectation that I will have fun. I must say, this Japanese trailer for the film certainly plays favorably to that expectation. Though a goodly amount of the trailer is the same as the…

First Trailer For 'The Lone Ranger'

Wow, Disney is really chugging along with the marketing for Gore Verbinski's 'The Lone Ranger.' Just yesterday the poster dropped, and now we've got the first trailer. I'm still interested, just because I love that character, but it does strike me how little The Lone Ranger (…

A series that you love but other people hate it

one of my favorite series is the saw series. Let me explain. What I like about the saw series is that it is a bull-shit story going on and on and filled with gore and bad acting. Just like another series that I love which is the Friday the 13th series. Also the series has gotten a lot of hate which I understand why. The series does has it flaws like it has an assload of flashbacks as much as a lifetime movie and the acting is sometimes fucking terrible. Also that they pull out story element…

Alamo Basement: Demons will melt your screen

The first Terror Tuesday of the new year presented one my favorite horror movies, Lamberto Bava “DEMONS”. A fun bash of Gore and Rock, like only the Italians make. The movie was directed by Lamberto Bava, son of Italian horror auteur Mario Bava, and Co-written with Dario…

The Top 10 Movies I Saw in 2011

DISCLAIMER: I would like to say that due to my unfortunate location and inability to see so many of the other big movies that came out this year due to time or place, these are the movies that I've seen this year and that I've enjoyed the most and were released this year.

10. Super 8. Despite the ending being a bit of a whimper, I must admit that this movie was such a great thrill ride of a mystery that pays a beautiful tribute to the classic Spielberg films…

This Just In..."Rango"

RANGO (Blu-Ray and DVD)

Most of the best animated films manage to find a balance that although generally aimed for the larger part at kids, find ways to make concessions to an adult audience. Nobody has been better at this than…

RANGO MOVIE REVIEW-Best animated movie NOT BY PIXAR!

When seeing the first trailer for "Rango" I was actually astounded.I mean it was a short trailer but the one thing that really blew me away were the visuals. I mean the whole thing actually looks so photo-realistic I wouldn't be surprised that if it were real. Now that doesn't necessarily  make it a good film, but…

'Saw VI' Blu-Ray (Director's Cut) Review

So in a sense, you choose who lives or dies...

Movie:

"If it's Halloween, then it must be Saw."

We've been hearing that tag-line for the last six years, but we never really knew just how extensive the franchise would get. While the 'Saw' series has been been panned by many critics, the films still manage to reach out and bring countless fans to the theater every Halloween...and I'm one… Continue

Midnight Movie Madness- My District 9 Review!

It's here people! The film long discussed and much hyped is here, and I'm here to tell you that it's one of the rare films that absolutely lives up to the hype.

Allow me to preface my thoughts here by advising you to go into this movie (as the Cohost suggested) completely blind and unaware of any plot. I didn't know too much about it, and that was part of what made it so fun. That being said, I won't spoil any major plot points- I'm… Continue

WTF!!! Automaton Transfusion is super-rediculame

Holy Zombies Eating Baby fetus, Batman.

So much to say about this one folks. Yes, it is a Dawn of the dead clone. and a bad one at that. talk about shitty Zombies and even worse acting. but i have to say the gore is something to behold. All the stereotypical high school kids are in this one. there's the movie nerd, the white black guy, the Rocker but more on that later.

well the plot goes like this, if you can call it a plot that is. a young medical student is making… Continue

Saw V Review - Is Saw Losing Its Edge? The Review From A Hardcore Fan

The Saw series has always intrigued me with its mind-twisting endings and its undertakings on moral irony. Few horror films in the history of cinema have given us an ‘analysis’ on human nature and our instincts of survival. These films aren’t your average gore fest movies where high school kids party, get drunk and are chased down by some psychopathic killer or super natural entity…these films study the human mind and our appreciation for… Continue

Hostel or Saw: Pick your poison.

Heh, poison. Heheh, evil tortue. Anyway, with Saw V being released tonight, might as well have both famous tortue franchises go at it.

In the current state that Saw is in now, I lean more towards Hostel. Besides, Hostel, in some cases, has an evil sense of humor. Especially at the end of Part II. However, if you asked me that when Saws I and II were out and Hostel, I'd say… Continue

Gladiator vs 300: Which one do you like more?

I know it seems like the wrong kind of question to ask, especially when Halloween is coming up, but which one did you like more? For me, it was Gladiator. I love both of these films but I thought Gladiator had more accuracy and a much more deeper story. Still, which one?

or…

Ironman's Movie Reviews: The Machine Girl

Right, It has been a long time since I have done one but now that all my University work is done and dusted, I can concentrate on doing more of these. Well, let's start with one that is a little odd and one that I know Co-Host will love... THE MACHINE GIRL!

Films can drag out the most obscure and intense emotions out of a viewer, all designed to stimulate the senses. Horror movies are made intending to frighten… Continue
