Superhero Stories Assemble! Cap Gets a Score, Powers Gets a Pilot, and Spidey Gets Some Shorts

"And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when several superhero stories found themselves united in a single article. On that day, 'Superhero Stories' was born - to contain the film and TV news no single blog post could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now...

Superhero Stories Assemble!"

Our First Look At X-Men First Class

Oh, look, another Superhero movie from Fox.  Fox doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to Superhero movies, especially when it comes to Marvel Superhero movies.  They did the underwhelming Fantastic Four, the Daredevil film, (the Theatrical version,) and of course the X-Men films.

Out of all of these Marvel films, the X-Men ones have been by far there most profitable, and overall, the most critically acclaimed.

So…

Screenwriter's Gem - Bob's Burgers Review!

I love comedy, when it's done right like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, South Park or Modern Family it can brighten up a long day. But when comedy is done poorly like, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and sadly, The Simpsons, it can piss you off. Bob's Burgers is a great comedy with excellent jokes, "Tina, don't put your hand in", and…

And Now, The Worst Films of 2010

Well, now that 2010 is over and everyone else is doing it, what better time to give my take on the absolute worst films of 2010. For starters, this will not be a strictly numbered list- rather, it will look into a variety of genres and categories before ultimately reaching the #1 pick. That said, here are the results, starting with...

The Poster Girl for generic Hotness

This is a subject that's been on my mind for ahwile. Have you ever looked at something from every angle and not get it. That's how I feel about Megan Fox. I'm 23, straight, a reclusive nerd but I still don't get what's the big hubbub aboout her. Sure she's hot but it's that's about it with her. she looks like someone found a list of what the average frat boy found attractive threw it into a blender and she poped out

They just didn't find anything on her having an actual… Continue

The Thing Will Be 100% CG For The Fantastic Four Reboot !!!

According to Paul Young at Screen Rant, The Thing, which is played by Michael Chiklis in the previous movies, will be completely 110% CG in the upcoming reboot. Noting that the suit "stood out when compared to the other CG-heavy superpowers on screen."…

Rare Addict's Top 10 Favorite Video Games

10. Diddy Kong Racing (1997)

While, admittedly, my inclusion of this title is based partially on nostalgia (along with a couple of other entries on this list), having just finished playing through all of these games again, I was surprised to find that Diddy Kong Racing still holds up extremely well. While, on the surface, the game comes across as just another Mario Kart-esque racer, it has this sense of adventure to it that no…

Sound of Doom's Top 10 of 2009 (Updated)

Now that the Oscar race has begun and I have gotten around to seeing more films from last year, I've decided to update my Top 10 for the year. Considering how many lists of this kind that you've probably read (or at least briefly skimmed through), I have decided not to waste anyone's time with some nostalgic reflection or superfluous introduction. I give you my list for the Top 10 films of 2009.

#10: Moon (Directed by Duncan Jones)

This little-seen indie deserved… Continue

Skellingjack's Top ten favorite movies of 2009

Now I know I might be a bit late with this blog but I wanted to say what my favorites films of 2009 were. Now I already made a Blog about my top ten favorite films of 2009 awhile back but I wanted to make another one for two reasons. 1. Some of my opinions have changed for the films from my last top ten, which means I some of the movies that I put on my last top ten list are gone from this list and some of the ones that were on the last list are on a different now, and 2. My last blog didn't…

Fox Creating US Version of Torchwood

Hold on to your Hub! Fox is creating an American version of the UK Sci-Fi hit, Torchwood.

Torchwood, pinned as a more adult version of Doctor Who is a spin-off of said show. This fall, its third season “Children of Earth” aired to extremely high ratings on both sides of the pond.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter”, the show will not be a spin-off of the UK Torchwood, but a remake along the lines of The Office or Threes Company.… Continue

Sound of Doom's Top 10 of 2009

Well, we're here, at the end of a year (and a decade, no less). And when a year reaches its end, we traditionally look back upon it. For what would we be as human beings without looking behind on our triumphs, our mistakes, our opportunities, both taken and missed?

*cough* Sorry, better cut to the chase now before I waste anyone's time with incoherent rambling. Anyway, this year was a great one for movies, both critically and financially (Hollywood's biggest ever, in fact). And like… Continue

Fantastic Mr. Fox: a girl-pimp's review

I am not a huge fan of Wes Anderson. I can respect his film style but I haven't fallen in love with either Rushmore or the Life Aquatic. I also thought the animation style looked a little creepy when I first saw pictures and trailors of FMF. But then I kept on hearing about how great it was and I am a sucker for those moving pictures, so when a friend offered to take me to a movie, I suggested this.

By God, I'm glad I did.…

(The appropriately named) Fantastic Mr. Fox review by Rider

I love it when a movie can define its setting and characters so well that it doesn’t need to balance its storytelling with unnecessary reinforcing details. My favorite films of all time are movies that don’t pander to the audience; movies that don’t focus heavily on telling its audiences a story but simply give us a glimpse into a typical day in another world, simply bringing them along for the ride. That said, I’ve found such a film… Continue

Fantastic Mr. Fox - Review

Fantastic Mr. Fox Review

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 90%

My rating: Full Price!!

2009 has been an excellent year for children, especially now Michael Jackson has bid us adieu. No. I don’t mean that. What I mean is this year’s children’s cinema has been great, especially compared to us adult’s rather weak table scraps. They’ve had Up, easily the best CG animated children’s movie to date, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs,… Continue

The Forgettable Mr. Fox, Sorry! Fantastic Mr. Fox: The Review

Roald Dahl was a big part of my childhood reading. His stories, particularly the Revloting Rhymes along with the The Twits, always kept me interested and giggling with childish delight. They were fantastic children's stories and, prior to JK Rowling, were the only massive successes, critically and commercially, in the children's book market.… Continue

Headphones Reviews: Jennifer's Body

It's girls like Jennifer Check that make me nervous about women. The last thing I wanna do, is die with my pants around my ankles and have my stomach and junk completely wrapped into shreds. No thank you, pass! I'm happy being single. ^-^ LOL

Jennifer's Body is a very interesting movie. Not because of the actress (what am I say?),but because of the story (kinda). Let's face it, EVERY school has a Megan Fox. That girl that EVERY GUY would sleep with, and EVERY GIRL…
