Need For Speed: The Run Review

alt

The last two Need for Speed tiles, Hot Pursuit and Shift, were considered more as spin-offs but have provided the best two racing games for the franchise. What The Run has going for it is that it returns to it’s old-school NFS roots. Black Box develops the game this time, making it the first time they have returned to the Need For Speed franchise since creating and finishing…

Hitman Absolution: 'Run For Your Life' Playthrough

Finally, a full walkthrough of what has been shown behind closed doors at E3, Hitman Absolution "Run For Your Life" playthrough. After watching this video, I'm even more excited about Hitman Absolution: the game looks great (better than it has ever looked), I dig the Inception-like music they added in the game to make Agent 47 more of a bad-ass. I'm also very impressed in how well the NPCs move, it looks very…

My Review for: Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon

Now . . . I rarely do this, but hey! I’m Chaos Jumper and I do stuff because I want to! Today folks, instead of doing an animation review, I am going to do a review of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. Now, before anyone kills me, I have not watched any Transformers of the 80’s nor have I watched many episodes of Beast Wars. I have just seen the recent animated series on Cartoon Network, so I am not going to be the guy who says “Michael Bay did this wrong…

(Rebecca Black Friday Review) Mediocrity is Fun: or Which Seat Will You Take?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NLjz-ZJmEc

This is my review of Rebecca Black's Friday. I am new to this sort of thing, so if anyone who is good at this has any advice, I would love that. I desperately want to get better. I would like to point out that I do not like the song specifically. I like it in the same way that some people like Troll2. There seems to be a lost in translation type thing with this video.…

Random Review: My Top Ten of 2010

As seems to be the trend around this time of year, I've put together my Top Ten Films of 2010 list.  Now, I feel I should point out that I'll be taking a slightly different tack with this list compared to other lists.  Where the standard "top ten of 2010" list will focus on films that were released in 2010, this one will instead focus on films that I *saw* in 2010, regardless of when they were released.  You're also going to see a fair number of ties as you move up the list.  In some cases,…

Random Review: Thoughts on "Requiem For A Dream"

So every Saturday Night for me is "Pizza and a movie" night. Tonight, for some reason I decided I wanted to see "Requiem For a Dream." I've no idea why, but I had to see it, and I've just finished.

First and foremost ... WHAT THE FUCK?! Now, let me be clear, I mean that in a *good* way. I felt like Darren Aronofsky's (and kudos to you for doing this sir) film took my brain, put it in a blender, set the blender to "puree" and let it run for two… Continue

Box Office Predictions: July 30th, 2010

Hey guys! It’s that time of the week again, so let’s sit back and take a peek at what Hollywood is dangling in front of our eyes and wallets this time around. Up on the menu for this

weekend is a triple feature free-for-all between some of our big

contenders: Warner Bros., Universal, and Paramount. From one end, we

have a sequel to the 2001 hit Cats and Dogs which possess the notability of having a nine year separation between itself and its…

Requiem For A Dream: Insane Addictions

This is a film that I can honestly say has been shoved down my throat repeatedly, showing no sign of relinquishing me until I finally sat down and saw the film. Everyone who I’ve talked to about this film

love it, using words like “insane,” “crazy,” and “absolutely

terrifying.” As for me, my exposure to it had only been limited to that

intense music that has been used extensively by everybody, from

Hollywood to AMV makers…

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

The year was 1984, and with the end of the original Star Wars trilogy occurring a year earlier with Return of the Jedi, a large host of science-fiction films were able to take the spotlight. Classic hits

such as 1984, Firestarter, The Last Starfighter, Starman, and The

Terminator were among these films to take the center-stage of that

genre. Also among them is the third…

The Hunt for Red October (1990)

Sean Connery trying to be a Russian, nothing else is better than that.

When a Soviet nuclear sub headed toward American waters drops off U.S.scanners, the Yanks scramble to take defensive steps. But CIA analyst Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin) convinces the brass that the sub's commander (Sean Connery) has something other than a first strike in mind.

Now getting ready to watch this movie I was all hyped up. I love Sean Connery in any… Continue

TRACKS YOU SHOULD BE LISTENING TO 1: The Enemy - No Time For Tears

No Time For Tears Review

By Ken Grand-Pierre

What is expected when you meet your idols? To learn from them, and that is exactly what singer/guitarist Tom Clarke has done. After forming a band called The Enemy and releasing their smash debut “We’ll Live And Die In These Towns” Mr. Clarke proved you could play amazing music in the form of a three piece, write songs about life struggles, be angry, and not be a cunt while doing all this. Of course he had the amazing help by… Continue

Millar's Plans For Wanted 2

Mark Millar has spilled the beans to Newsarama about his plans for the sequel to his Wanted adaptation.

He reiterated his pledge not to write a comic book sequel to the original miniseries, saying, "That six issues were the end."

Instead Millar said he would write some new original storylines that fit into the film's universe, but that will also use some of the elements from the original comics that didn't find their way into the first movie.

"It will be some of… Continue
