Respawn Entertainment's First Game May Be Xbox Exclusive

Most people will remember the big controversy a few years ago surrounding Infinity Ward. After Modern Warfare 2 came out to critical success and unfathomable retail success Activision promptly thanked the two men responsible for the game by firing them. This prompted a mass exodus…

'Remember Me' Enemies and Combat Trailer

Whenever a new IP comes out I'm willing to give it a chance simply because it isn't a sequel. One of the few new IPs that will be coming out this year is Dontnod Entertainment's Remember Me. The game had a cool looking trailer last year that at least perked the attention of the gaming world. Now that we're coming closer to its' June release the marketing for the game has begun. This trailer gives us a look at the types of enemies we will encounter in the game as well as how we will defeat…

The Lorax movie review - nkWhiteStar

And so we movie into 2012's summer season of animated titles, which at many times can be a bit of a mixed bag to say the least. Today I made the decision to check out The Lorax, and although it wasn't as mortifying as "Happy Feet Two", this certainly wasn't what I was hoping for at all. Let's take a look.

So as you probably know, this is…

Imagine Entertainment's '1984' Lands Writer

I would venture a guess that most of you probably read George Orwell's novel '1984' in high school. It's the story of a dystopian future society under totalitarian control in which…

Super Nostalgic

Today, I had the opportunity for a rare two-fer for the weekend, and there was no better way to celebrate that than to watch a movie. Today's movie was the Paramount Pictures film Super 8. The film, which is rated PG-13, stars Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, Riley Griffiths, Zach Mills, Gabriel Basso, Ryan Lee, Noah Emmerich, and Kyle Chandler. This film was shrouded in secrecy from… Continue

The Heart and Soul: Joe, played by Joel Courtney, is the central character, a good-natured 14-year-old who wants to help his friend finish his zombie film, and is at odds with his recently widowed father (Friday Night Light’s Kyle Chandler), who is also a local lawman. “He’s a really sweet kid, but he’s a follower,” Abrams said. Mindless Entertainment!! A weekly comic book review (Dec 8 2010)

Well, today was a very very good day for comics. Why? Because the long awaited Fables #100 came out. The anniversary issue to a long running series, created by Bill Willingham which deals with fairy tales centered in the "real world". I'd imagine there are far better summaries online than I could possibly give you, so we're just going to dive right into this issue.…

Mindless Entertainment!! A weekly comic book review

Hey hey hey Spilleos,

How y'all doing? I'm gonna be starting a weekly comic book reviews blog based on what you want me to read. Every week, you suggest a comic to be reviewed, and I pick three of them to review on Wednesday. So... For this coming week, what do y'all want me to read?

Since we all love the spill crew's rating system, I figured I'd adapt it to comics, so...

R.I.P Entertainment

I look at my DVD collection and I get nostalgic.

I lean back and remember Movies like Gangs of New York or Fight Club.

I remember Movies with character whos actions appeard realistic and understandable.

Movies with an acctual Plot and a beliveable story.

Movies that didn`t need a hundred million dollars in special effects to impress.

Movies that were based on an original Idea that hadn`t been there before.

So when did this change and WHY?

Late Night Gems

It's late at night, you're bored and you flip through the channels to see what's on. Then it happens...

Suddenly you stumble upon a movie that you can't turn away from. Maybe it's a musical montage, maybe it's the cinematography, an action scene or maybe it's an special effect you can't believe you saw. Either way you're watching it and although it looks low budget, cheap, or old, you're entranced by it. These, ladies and gentlemen are when you have fun watching a movie. We all have those… Continue
