First Teaser Poster For 'Red 2'

'Rock of Ages' Trailer

I guess I should disclose right off the bat that I do not like musicals, but I'd hazard that even those who do might have trouble getting into this trailer for Adam Shankman's 'Rock of Ages.' This star-packed film takes place in 1987 L.A. and is essentially a love story set against an epic rock scene. The film's cast includes…

I just finished my second play through of Catherine and I have to say it just a really amazing game. It feels so good to play something like I haven't played before I'll get into that more once we get into the review. Lets start with the story of Catherine.

Where the Wild Things Are (2009)

There's a one inside of us.

Max (Max Records) imagines running away from his mom and sailing to a far-off land where large talking beasts -- Ira, Carol, Douglas, the Bull, Judith and Alexander -- crown him as their king, play rumpus, build forts and discover secret hideaways. Voices by Chris Cooper, James Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara, and many others.

Once in a lifetime a very noble director will get a hold of a wonderful children… Continue

Santos Reviews 3 Theatrical Films

Within the past few weeks, I have seen a total of 3 movies at the theaters. I had considered reviewing each one separately, but, given that two are films that I caught late, have instead decided to quickly review them all in one blog post. Here they are in the order that I watched them....

1.

Believe it or not, I actually liked this one. Yes, it's cheesy and has it's fair share of problems, but overall I had a good time watching it. It's… Continue

My review of Twilight

Catherine Hardwicke's 2008 film adaptation of Twilight was the old buffystory of human falling for vampire. Not a particularly original storyline in and of itself. The movie was nothing special as it had no real shred of originality to it. Worse than that, they corrupt it by adding elements of teen drama, which is by far the worse type of drama out there.

Despite this, I do give Catherine the benefit of the doubt on some levels, as she tried her best to remain faithful to the novel. While… Continue

CARLYLE'S WAYBACK MACHINE! Need a good Fantasy film this weekend? Try STRINGS.

With the release of Prince Caspian this week, it has set my mind towards kicking back and watching other great fantasy films. Unfortunately for us, until recently, Hollywood hasn't taken fantasy all that seriously. So we all kind of fall back on watching the same films over and over again. But there are a few oddball gems out there - a few overlooked masterpieces that I know many of you haven't… Continue
