Batman: Arkham Origins - Teaser Trailer

I've mentioned in the past few weeks how if you're going to make an all CGI or live action trailer at least make it interesting. The first teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins straddles that line barely. It is cool to see Deathstroke and Batman fighting it out but what we see is really short and doesn't give us any information about the game other…

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Review

Many people feared that this movie would be the equivalent of The Phantom Menace but for the younger generation of fans who grew up with The Lord of the Rings as their epic saga of nostalgia. While this film doesn't descend into such excruciatingly painful territory, the attempts at entertaining the children…

Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace Review

Rating-F**K YOU!!!

Star Wars Episode 1:The Phantom Menace is the biggest clusterfuck of a movie I have ever seen. First, before I tear this shitty movie to shreads, lets talk about the positives... it was 2 hours long, and not 3. Yep, thats about it. The effects aren't that impressive, and to be…

The "Human" Element of Famous Franchises

With the release of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon hot on our heels, I've really been thinking about how good or bad the movie will actually be. While I and several others were rather annoyed by Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen for a staggering amount of reasons, I won't forget how people were at the Midnight Screening of that film. The entire theater was packed beyond belief, and thoroughly entertained from start to finish. But it actually wasn't necessarily from…

"Pandora Discovered" and Other Discovery Channel Specials

I was right. James Cameron’s Avatar is a hell of a lot deeper than some would believe. Discovery Channel has reported that real evolutionary science was used in constructing the world of Pandora. So much science was poured into it, that Cameron even had a four-minute conceptual documentary produced explaining the biology of Pandora that was narrated by Sigourney Weaver herself. Strangely enough, she narrated the pre-production short film in the same way that she narrated Discovery… Continue

My Crappy Box Office Picks (1-8-10)

It's a new year and a new decade which means it's time for the first crop of new movie-ah, who the hell cares? You know Avatar is going to be number 1 again. If a naked Robert Downy Junior and CGI chipmunks can't topple this blue hunk of science fiction, than it's going to be around for a long time. Even during Christmas where it seemed like Scrooge gave his fortune to the studios, Avatar gave the newbies a whoopin'. So, there is no question who will be #1; let's talk #2 (no pun… Continue

Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 Blu-Ray Review

I'm still angry at Universal for releasing seasons like this in halves, charging about the same amount as the full seasons. However, despite the prices, the DVDs are real nice and now that they're in Blu-Ray they look gorgeous. I give up, Universal! Anyway, Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 is the final season and while it has it's ups and downs, it's virtually filler free and still keeps me glued to screen.

-Sometimes a Great… Continue

Resident Evil: Degeneration Review

Well, it's another Resident Evil, ('Biohazard' for you Japs), movie and being a fan of the video game franchise; I had to see this. Fortunately this time, I didn't hate this one as much as the other movies!

I was SO looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I heard word of its production, and once I saw the film, I wasn't all too dissappointed with the film (to my surprise). Unlike the other 'Resident Evil 'movies, this movie… Continue
