If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Two days ago we were treated to a new trailer that briefly highlighted the new elements being added into Saints Row IV including aliens and superpowers. Today we are getting to see what was shown to press at PAX East, which is essentially an extended look at how you these additions will look and play in the world. OK most people are probably tired by now of me complaining about my…Continue
Best news of the week? Best news of the week. Yesterday the studio behind the cult favorite "Saints Row" franchise teased yesterday on facebook that the next iteration in the popular franchise was coming, and sooner than we expected. Before long they revealed that Saints Row IV would be launching on August…Continue
Aliens colonial marines Is by far one of the worst games I have seen released so far.
The story just goes wherever the fuck it wants to go at one point it tries to be saddening then a few seconds later cracking jokes the voice acting is terrible I feel nothing for these Characters at all nothing i would root for the aliens if they weren't acting like fish out of water flailing their arms about trying to be scary.
The graphics were pitiful Timesplitters Looked better than…Continue
Today is the most bittersweet day of the year, when I have to say goodbye to friends I wont see until next year. I am now happy to have more great memories from this festival. In retrospect I think I made more film contacts this year than any…Continue

For every dozen sequels that aren’t as good as their originals, there comes a badass flick like Aliens that not only is as good as alien, but better in every category.
The Story of Aliens is that Ripley, still haunted and traumatized after the events of the…Continue

First off, Michael Bay isn’t directing or writing, he’s the producer on the project, I don’t know why everyone’s acting like Michael bay is the one directing(aka thinking it’s gonna be like Transformers 4 with Turtles). So with that out of the way, the guy who is up to actually direct(John Leibseman, director of Battle LA) and the guys(Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec , writers and producers of M:I4) up to write are actually pretty competent in their works, and thus…Continue

The brand new trailer for Ridley Scott's "not-a-prequel" alien film 'Prometheus' is set to premiere on March 17th, and Fox is dead set to squeeze every last drop of marketing buzz out of it that they can. The latest volley in their ad campaign is this preview trailer which contains mostly shots we've already…Continue
During an interview at this years SXSW Festival - at which he debuted his film 'The Cabin in the Woods' to a much-delighted crowd - director Joss Whedon confronted the growing rumors that the alien race seen in the trailers and marketing materials for the upcoming Marvel film …Continue
In my years of living in Austin, I’ve noticed this is city has a magnetic force which attracts very creative and talented people. I like to attribute this to our great film and music scene. One of these talented groups of people is the Old Murderhouse Theater, a group of actors who reenactment movies of the 80s and 90s. They began in Savannah, GA, but they now all reside in Austin.
In this low budget reenactments, the props, sets and costumes are…Continue

Attack the Block Review
Well, with September just starting now, that means summer is pretty much official over. Which means that the summer movie season has officially ended as well, so to celebrate the official ending of summer, why not write a review for one of the best movies of this summer, Attack the Block? If there’s going to be another great movie to end this summer movie season with a bang, it might as well be this one. Plus, out of all the alien invasion…Continue

Hahahahaha! Your time has come Colonial Marines! You thought you were safe back there in the back, hiding behind your no trailers and little news. But now, you've slipped up my friend. Now you've gone and released something... and that shall be your doom! Man, I'm feeling awfully super…Continue
Cowboys, and aliens, in the same film. The newest of an ever-increasing list of cross-genre films coming out lately. It certainly did catch my interest in the trailer and posters, (over the very long advertising campaign) and with the right team behind it, could have been spectacular. However here, it's left me pretty deflated. A pity, when a lot of the elements had been set up…Continue

Palms to Heaven, friend, and welcome to another edition of Spill in D.C. Despite the hot weather reaching well into the 100s in the District, a crew of Spillios (Ewok Princess, Moxie, Ken-K and two of his friends, and myself) gathered last weekend to talk shit, discuss Cons, and other discussions that spurred out of the movie of the day: Cowboys and…Continue
Watching this movie (as a 90s kid) I had a blast from the past just by watching this movie. It felt like those old 70s era Sci-Fi Spielberg movies that i watched when i was a kid. It almost felt like The Goonies, E.T. and Cloverfield but Spielberg didn't direct this. J.J. Abrams did who gave us Cloverfield and Star Trek (2009) and he does great at his type of marketing when it comes to the…Continue
