The Plot Hole Podcast - Episode 60 - The Dark Knight Rises Special

The Dark Knight Rises, arguably the biggest movie of the year, is here. In fact, it’s so big that a single podcast couldn’t contain it. This week on The Plot Hole, the gang – Sam, Simon, Steven and myself – talk everything Batman in a two-parter nearly as epic as the film itself.

In the first half, you can find our discussion on the two teaser trailers for Man of Steel (one of which would have been attached to your screening of The Dark Knight Rises)…

The Dark Knight Rises Review

Four years of build-up can do quite a lot. It gets the people pumped to see what's going to happen next, it raises the expectations considerably since the team behind the film is taking their time and since it's the end, people desperately want to know the fate of all…

Prince of Persia: The Fun Stupidity (Minor Spoilers)

As a kid who grew up with various video game consoles to occupy my time and escape from actually having to go outside and physically exert myself, I am quite familiar with the Prince of Persia hfranchise.

It had a cool character, wicked acrobatics, and creative gameplay that

made you love to abuse its time changing powers. Naturally, it was only

a mater of time before an adaptation was made for it, which resulted…

If The Great Hollywood Directors Directed some of the Disney Animated Classics? (A WTF?! BLOG)

This has been on mind for quite a while. I always wondered what would certain Disney Animated classics would look if big named and important directors got a hold of them, for good or ill. The following is would be taglines for their posters. Most of these taglines are borrowed from each of the director's own film posters. There are some that I tweaked a bit to fit with the film, others I left alone because it fit the film.

If The Coen Brothers directed Snow White and… Continue

Why The World Needs Robin. And, More Importantly, Why Batman and Nolan Do.

It's become quite fashionable to have a go at poor Dick Grayson. 69 years of loyal service to that darkest of knights and Christian Bale turns around and says "If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work"

Since this many have come out to say that placing Robin in the Nolan Batman films would be 'unrealistic' and detract from the tone of the films. Many… Continue

Santos Reviews: "Batman & Robin"

You know, I was supposed to write this weeks ago. I even told Korey how this was going to be the start of a new series in which I review "bad" movies from a fresh perspective. However, I never got around to it, but all that's over now. It's time to stay true to my word. And. Here. We. Go.....

Like everybody else, I've spent most of my years hating this movie and yet, I've always been curious to see it again. I got my chance a few… Continue

The Dark Knight was not a faithful adaptation of the Batman comics...

It's time to face the music, people. The Dark Knight is perhaps the most jaw-droppingly different comic book movie that diverted from the super-hero source material I've ever seen in my entire life. The story in the movie has not matched anything within any story in the comics, the characters are complete retuned, and the equipment Batman uses is totally unlike what he has in the comics. All this jabber-jawing leads me, like violent arguments over gun laws between Liberals and… Continue

10) George A. Romero
