The Enthusiast Episode 15: What's Up With That?

We’re on a roll at the moment. This week sees another standout edition of The Enthusiast! This week we start out with a trailerpalooza, Kieran gets a bit existential when talking about his music pick and Shaun get the shock of his life towards the end of the show. This is another great place to start if you’re looking for a jumping point with The…

THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 8, Issue 5: Heartless

THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 8, Issue 5: Heartless

The chapter in which a new member is inducted, a horrible truth is revealed and then mercilessly satirized, and much is revealed. Whether it's that actual useful information is revealed, or merely that the league is composed of monstrous human beings, is up to you, the listener, to decide.…

Metro: Last Light - Launch Trailer

Now that's how you do a trailer. A combination of gameplay and cut scenes has rarely proved the wrong rout to take in the past. The visuals used in this trailer are quite spectacular, and a bit jarring. However you shouldn't really expect a trailer for a game about a post nuclear apocalypse Russia where people are living underground and have to fight each other and mutants for survival to be all sunshine and lollipops. So far this game is getting pretty great reviews all around, but I…

New 'Catching Fire' Poster

One of the problems I tend to have with posters for contemporary films is that they look like lazy Photoshop jobs. Long gone appears to be the artistry displayed in classic film posters and VHS cover art. Seriously, look at the cover of even the cheesiest, epically bad 80s fantasy movie on VHS. Those hand-painted images are incredible! That's why I really like this latest poster for Francis…

Star Trek Movie Review

With 'Star Trek Into Darkness' coming out in a couple of days, I feel obligated to share my thoughts on the 2009 'Star Trek' film that rebooted the series and made me interested in Star Trek.

'Star Trek' is an origin story that tells the story of how James T. Kirk goes on to be the…

'Man Of Steel' Featurettes Reveal New Footage

There are some corporate sponsorships of movies that I just don't understand. I mean sure it'll probably earn quite a few shekels for the company, but does anyone really think of Norton antivirus software when they think of Superman? Anywho, the company has sponsored three new featurettes for Zack Synder's 'Man…

Rayman Legends - "20,000 Lums Under the Sea" Trailer

From what they originally showed of Rayman Legends it just looked like they took the exact same engine used for Rayman Origins and put in some new levels. Now that we are getting closer to the game's official (though not original) release date I'm actually starting to see how this is a entirely new game. Rayman Origins had a fantastic 2D art style that flowed really well…

SOMETHING NEW (HIMYM Season 8 Finale e-Review)

So this is the biggest episode so far because it finally revealed the Mother. It’s sad that many people got their eight years of waiting ruined because of the stupid posts in the internet. I promise that there will be no spoilers about…

Wolfenstein: The New Order - Screenshots

After spending last year killing enemies varying from pirates, aliens, robots, Victorian era guards, and gangsters it will be nice to get back to some good old fashioned Nazi killing. Well, maybe not that old fashioned. Wolfenstein: The New Order got a good amount of screenshots and a few pieces of concept art released today. Yes there are Nazis to kill but there seems to be just as many if not more Nazi robots to kill as well. In one of these screenshots it looks like there might…

Marvel-ous May #15: Spider-Man 2

SPIDER-MAN 2

Marvel was heading into a downward spiral with their movies by Summer 2004 with three out of four bombs over the course of the last 16 months with Daredevil, Hulk, and The Punisher. Only, X2: X-Men United was their only good movie during that period and sure enough,…

Pokemon X & Y - Cover Art and New Gameplay Trailer

Are you people ready for this? Because I don't think you are. For the first time in a handheld Pokemon game players will be allowed... to move in more directions than up/down/left/right. Groundbreaking. It is kind of silly to look at the changes being made for Pokemon X & Y as anything new because most handheld games have been doing these things since the DS. But if you look at the Pokemon series as a whole you start to get a grasp on how different Pokemon X & Y is going to…
