Black Dynamite Trailer

Added by MavenCree on December 31, 2008 at 10:57pm — 1 Comment

Black Dynamite trailer.... that you can watch at work is out

When “the man” kills his brother, pumps heroin into the local orphanage, and floods the ghetto with a secret weapon disguised as Anaconda Malt Liquor, there is only one brother bad enough, strong enough, and brave enough to take them on: the legendary Black Dynamite.

It's like they filmed Korey's life and then edited him out and put Michael Jai White in :D

Black Dynamite is a throwback with an attitude. Hilarious, campy, hot, and sexy, it plays with… Continue

Another List of '08s Best Movies and A Few Disappointments

Ok, first off, i'd like to say my favorite movies of the year. These are also my nominees for my favorite movie of the year. I say favorite instead of best because the word "best" seems too factual, when this is based solely on opinion.

COMEDY

-Forgetting Sarah Marshall- It really surprised me, because I looked at this as an appetizer for Pineapple Express, but this completely turned the tables (still enjoyed Pineapple Exp. though)

-Tropic Thunder- If a movie can… Continue

Photobucket

Some of you May know that the Tomas Alfredson’s upcoming film LÃ¥t den rätte komma in (Let The Right One In) has been a hit on the festival circuit and was recently picked up by Magnet Releasing, a subdivision of Magnolia Pictures, to be distributed in the U.S. This is a Swedish film based on the novel by John Ajvide Linqvist (who also wrote the… Continue

For the Nerds and Geeks

Let me start by saying I am a nerd. During my Christmas vacation I am playing everquest 2 and magic the gathering online. So I was in the mood for a little fantasy movie, emphasis on little. I did not want the grand epicness of Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. I wanted something that focused on the experience of being a gamer, getting you face blown up by traps and npcs that you should not have tangled with in the first place, and having a weak character who gets killed over and over and over… Continue

The Best of 2008: Number Eight

I'm realizing that just to be crystal frelling clear on this, I should specifically mention what this 'best of' listing thingee that I'm spreading out over ten posts means to me. I'm not trying to tell you that these are the best ten films of the year in any sort of overall sense. I'm not saying these are the ones that will have the widest appeal. I'm saying that these are MY top ten favorite films of the year.

Now that THAT'S out of the way, surely no one will call me an… Continue

I Want My MTV!

Today I found out the disturbing news that channels like MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Nickelodeon and Spike will all being going dark at 12:01. This due to the fact that Viacom Inc. and Time Warner Cable could not agree on a carriage fee deal. So since I am Time Warner Cable member I will be missing out on such great shows as "The Daily Show","The Colbert Report","SpongeBob SquarePants", "The Real World" and all of those "Flavor of Love" spin-offs. This is bullshit!

Well with nothing else to do on Christmas night me and some friends went to the movies. And not to my thrill we went and saw Valkyrie. Which was not a bad movie at all except for some flaws like the spill guys mentioned the accents oh they drove me up the wall. Apparently this film was more like a British imitation of what… Continue

Amateur crimefighters are surging in the US—AKA IDIOTS IN SPANDEX

For Mr Invisible, the first and last blow to his burgeoning career as a superhero was an unexpected punch that flattened his nose.

“After months of designing my costume, getting my street moves just right, it was my first week out as a Real Life Superhero – and probably my last. This tiny, tiny girl did not like me trying to calm down her screaming boyfriend. She blindsided me, I’m still bruised. It’s dangerous out there,” said the deflated would-be crime fighter last… Continue

The future of 'Pushing Daisies'?

I know this site is for mostly movies, but I'm sure there must be a group of people here who share the same interest in this quirky and odd television show as I do.

Now, the reason I post this is because I honestly never watch TV. This is the only show in my life that I've ever followed, and because of this I don't know anything about how prgrams work.

Pushing Daisies was a hit when it first came out. But then the writers strike happened, and it disappeared for a whole… Continue

The Underrated Films of '08

As the new year approaches, a lot of us movie buffs have taken the opportunity to reflect on how awesome some of the movies this year has been, as well as the flicks that we wished we didn't pay a single cent for. Official poster for How To Be, Robert Pattinson's latest (earliest?) movie.

Well, it's been a long time comin'. I was interested in this movie before I even heard of Twilight so it seems as though centuries have past since I last heard any news about this movie. You can learn more about the movie here.

Although Robert Pattinson has recently gathered his fame from Twilight, he worked on two other movies previous to the vamp adventure. How To Be and another film I am highly excited to see Little… Continue

WTF: Crank 2 Red Band Teaser *Spoilers From Last Movie Inside*

What the FUCK is this horseshit?!

First off, Jason Statham's character, Chev "Juice Me" Chelios is back in this. Which IMMEDIATELY brings forth my main problem with the first movie getting a sequel: CHEV CHELIOS DIED AT THE END OF THE LAST MOVIE!!!!! Don't believe me? Here's the ending, courtesy of YouTube:

Ok, so it's believed at the VERY end that he might've survived, as the… Continue
