Alien and Predator sittin' in a tree K I S S I N G!

Congratulations go out to Alien and Predator on their new baby whatever. It looks like the Strause Bros. really want you to know that the new Aliens vs Predator: Requiem film won't suck by giving fans of this series a first look at the new Predalien and their take on what you should expect from the new movie.…

Could this really be a WONDER WOMAN?

Dum dum dum da dum dum Wonder Womannn, Wonder Womannn! Alright people, word around the internet is that Teresa Palmer who was in Grudge 2 and Wolf Creek is our new Wonder Woman for George Miller's Justice League film. I have not read any offical word from the studio that this is true, so despite what other websites are saying I'm still treating this as rumor, so there. If it is true, she may have to…

Lovechild of the Predator and Alien

The Strause brothers, who made their names overseeing the visual effects on such movies as The Day After Tomorrow and 300 are tackling the sequel, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem.

"That movie was dark. That movie used a lot of rain," Colin Strause says. "And that movie was scary. We want it more like the classic early Alien and Predator movies we grew up on."…

kekeke

I'm suprised, two of my groups are on the front page when the whole list is sorted by members.

yay, popular, I'm tempted to make more, just another step in world domination, etc.

And... and yet only someone I know irl is in the House group with me

i mean

what the hell is wrong with you people?

I've been marathoning House episodes (okay well not marathoning, I'm only on 1X10 but still) and it's a…

Blade Runner: The Final Cut

I just bought tickets to see "Blade Runner: The Final Cut" at the Cinerama on Monday afternoon. Ya know, I probably could have waited and bought them at the door, being a Monday afternoon showing, but I didn't feel like risking it selling out. Buying them in advance only incurred a $2 service fee.

I haven't seen the film in some years and I thought about watching the DVD beforehand to see if I could spot differences but decided against…

The Tiffany Problem

What happens when a bunch of young horror directors get together every year to make a film for their friends? Well, this year it is called The Tiffany Problem. Adam Green (director of HATCHET and the upcoming SPIRAL - but probably best known to many of you as the writer/director of It's a Mall World from Mtv) teams up with his buddy Ryan Schifrin (director of…

Cyrus Gives You Another Halloween Recommendation

I saw this fun little vampire flick last year at Fantastic Fest. This is 30 Days of Night if it didn't take itself seriously and threw in some Raimi/Jackson-ish horror comedy. The Swedish, who have never made a vampire movie before this one, tell a pretty good tale based on the same 30 Days premise of a month of night time.

The… Continue

What's Coming Up For Guillermo del Toro

Guillermo del Toro is one of those directors who confuses me. He makes brilliant dramatic fantasies like The Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth. He also makes mediocre horror (Mimic) and superhero flicks (Hellboy). His recently produced The Orphanage was the biggest hit out of the recent Fantastic Fest for me and many others, and yet he's producing an English language remake already and the original hasn't even got distributed… Continue

Boss Hog

Pork's "dirty secret" : the nation's top hog producer is also one of Americas worst polluters

America's top pork producer churns out a sea of waste that has destroyed rivers, killed millions of fish and generated one of the largest fines in EPA

history. Welcome to the dark side of the other white meat.

Cyrus Recommends For Halloween...

I'm back just in time for more of my Halloween recommendations for your rental que.

This is one of those awesomely awful movies that I can watch over and over again. Even though it's not a zombie film, it shares much in common with them and surely was influenced by Dawn of the Dead due to Dario Argento's presence as producer if nothing else.…

Jerry Bruckheimer Brings Us...(snort)...The Lone Ranger!

Jerry Bruckheimer's writing team behind Pirates of the Caribbean aren't satisfied with just having achieved the herculean feat of turning a lame amusement park ride into one of the most successful film trilogies in history, now they want to bring his production company a good script for The Lone Ranger.

It's too early for anyone to be talking cast or director, but by the widespread presence of this story across the interwebs, I'm assuming Jerry and…

Movie Etiquette

I don't know if any of you saw the first episode of Californication, but in it they demonstrate perfectly what should be done to a loud cell phone talker in a movie theater. I'm sure that you all hate those people just as much as me. The first noise i can stand during a movie, is the sound of a special favor from a girlfriend (kids close your eyes to that line, hopefully you don't get it anyway). The second and last noise i don't mind, is when a completely silent scene is ruined by an… Continue

George Michael admits problems with Marijuana - It is difficult getting hold of good grass!

Ex Wham star and gay Greek poster boy, Giorgos Mikalos, has admitted at last that his marijuana smoking is becoming a problem. "I smoke shed loads" he told Kirsty Young on BBC's Deserted Iceland Discs.

"I must be getting through at least a quarter a day" he continued,"big fat reefers an all. The sort of chubby spliff you would expect to see hanging…

MAD MAX 4 is revving up!

MAD MAX 4: Fury Road just got a greenlight, and pre-production is commencing immediately!

George Miller will probably be working on this film, and Justice League at the same time...and Happy Feet 2! Prior to the Iraq War the plan was to shoot it there, so now it's likely to be filmed in Namibia. Who knows? Maybe they'll be able to catch Angelina Jolie in the background adopting more kids.

Mad Max 4 has…

Are You Talkin' to Me?!

Not too long ago, there was this real tough guy that went by the name of Robert De Niro. This man was a legend in the world of tough guy cinema. Then he started to hang out with Billy Crystal and Ben Stiller and something happend. The tough guy I once knew, exchanged his tough guy suit for a clown costume and sold his soul to SNL. Tough guy movies would never be the same. That was until I read a story that could possibly restore my faith in a guy I…
