RIP Dennis Hopper: Cyrus Takes a Brief Look at His Career

Dennis Hopper.

Wild man. He infamously lived the hard and fast road, and still put out an enormous body of work as an actor and a few films as a director as well including his break-out role, 1969's "Easy Rider". The guy worked AND played harder than almost anybody and still lived to the ripe old age of 74 before he succumbed to cancer this morning, surrounded by friends and family.

My hat's off to the man.

That's a life.

So show the proper respect. Take a… Continue

95 Reasons Twilight blows

1. Bella is a perfect character (“Mary Sue”), which Meyer hides by calling her clumsy.

2. Being clumsy is not a flaw if Edward always catches her.

3. She can’t do anything without Edward.

4. And when he leaves she attempts to commit suicide.

5. Meyer is living out her own fantasies by writing about Bella, who is clearly herself.

6. The books aren’t well written, just because every other word is a fancy adjective doesn’t make it good writing.

7. All the rules Meyer sets… Continue

League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen - May 29, 2010

The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen: Volume 4, Issue 15: Lost (and other TV shows we dig)

Make no bones about it, this may be the LAST episode of "Lost with Grant" (I know, just let it out, haters) but we're pretty much giving him the helm for it. Even though we certainly spend a good amount of time on other shows, (HBO line-up, "Chuck", etc) it always seems to come back to the island. And why not? It's the last time ya'll are gonna have to hear us go on and on…

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Review (no spoilers)

My first reaction to seeing the first trailer for the first time was "What!? a video game movie that looks good? Disney? Jerry Bruckhiemer??" So let's see how that faired out.

First of all, this movie is nothing original, obviously. Besides taking many things from the games, such as the platforming and action, the vague story, and the dagger, is also borrows from Assassin's Creed, The Scorpion King (the…

Prince of Persia: The Fun Stupidity (Minor Spoilers)

As a kid who grew up with various video game consoles to occupy my time and escape from actually having to go outside and physically exert myself, I am quite familiar with the Prince of Persia hfranchise.

It had a cool character, wicked acrobatics, and creative gameplay that

made you love to abuse its time changing powers. Naturally, it was only

a mater of time before an adaptation was made for it, which resulted…

Micheal Bay takes over TMNT

That's right, it appears Platinum Dunes has gotten there hands on yet another of my childhood loves. Seemingly Mr. Bay is only taking a Exec Producing part in this 2012 live action release, but we all saw how well that worked out for the new Nightmare on Elm ST. movie. Why am I suddenly mortified about this. Then again, can it really ever get any worse than TMNT 3?

Review for Best Worst Movie (The Troll 2 documentary)

Starring in a bad movie is a hurdle any good actor can get over. George Clooney has gone on to greater things since Batman & Robin and even though Ben Affleck and the phrase "good actor" are two very questionable things when put together in the same sentence, he still has managed to keep his career since Gigli. Both these actors have even gone on to become pretty decent directors themselves. Unfortunately for first time actors who are… Continue
